I'm only 31, but Carol Burnett means so much to the comedy culture. My mom raised me old school. That show is hilarious even in 2022. One of my favorite characters she played was on The Lucy Show where she was the shy clumsy librarian that turned out to be really talented in singing and performing lol

I grew up watching her as a kid of the 70's. I never get tired of watching her. I love it when she guest stars on TV shows including the Law and Order franchise. She is just a legend and I think I would probably cry if I met her someday to tell her thanks for the laughs when I needed them as a kid.

I LOVE Carol Burnett. She looks almost exactly like my mother, and she made my mom cackle like a chicken from laughing so much...which made all the rest of us nearly die laughing. We already were laughing so hard at Carol in her skit, and then almost not able to breathe for laughing at mother's laugh at Carol. I thank Carol from the depths of my heart for making my mother laugh so hard, giving our whole family such extreme joy...and, well, just making my mom so happy. She was ill her whole adult life and struggled a lot. It was truly a delight to see her so happy! BTW, she also had a daughter named Jodi. Thank you for being an entertainer! As a teen growing up in the 70's, I'm so glad I had that time together, sharing a laugh or singing a song. Show would always seem to end too soon and when she would sing "so long". Thank you for this interview. Her show was a bright spot in my life growing up as well as millions of others.

I am 65. I remember watching her show every week. It was one of the funniest on tv. Back then, you couldn't watch at your leisure. You had to PLAN to watch as it was only on at a certain time on a certain day.

I saw her do her one-woman show a couple of years ago -- my wife even asked her a question during the Q&A -- and Carol's talent, humor, and sheer "niceness" of personality just filled the whole theater, like nothing else I've ever seen. I was walking down the street, must have been 2002 and who is walking towards me? Carol Burnett, she was by herself as was I. I was taken by surprise not expecting to see her and I blurted out without thinking "Carol Burnett!" -- and she stops, looks me in the eye and says "and what's your name?" -- and I tell her and we have a conversation - I could not believe it -- you would have expected her to smile and keep walking but no, she took the time to exchange with me - I am one never to expect that celebrities owe me anything especially their personal time -- it was a very nice moment and whenever I see a reference to Carol or an appearance like this on Steve's show I immediately think of not the show biz Carol - but the very kind, nice, sincere Carol I met on the street years ago. God bless her and her family!

My beloved sister Ingrid borr a striking resemblance to Carol Burnett as a child. Our Mother and Father called her "Little Carol Burnett." It was regular viewing for my Family before I was even born. My sweet Sister Died at only 25 years old. It was the most profound tragedy to ever befall my Family. First of this woman is absolutely amazing and a pioneer in the business. I have always loved everything about her. Also, her story about tuition at UCLA being $64.00 is a lesson in why there is so much student debt. I looked up UCLA's current tuition for resident on campus living for a semester and it is $68,474.00....Colleges need to stop scaming people and there wouldn't have to be student loan forgiveness.
