True! I heard it for the first time last month, on the radio, with the volume low, but the drum track grabbed me because it was extraordinary! I immediately learned to play it on guitar. Stupendous song!
It's funny how you don't really notice a goos bass line, it staying just on the edge of your consciousness - until your attention is drawn to it, and then you can't NOT hear it... A good one, indeed.
I saw him in the late 90s somewhere around Nashville. Maybe it was Nashville. It was at a festival. I was there to see a crummy band. It was before my Steve Miller transformation. I wish I had paid attention lol
I love this song, I had heard it in my childhood sometime, and it must have made a big impact because then I heard my brother play this song about 6 years ago and asked him what this song is called. Of course I immediately put it my playlist. It felt like a lost gem that was returned to me.
Dieses Stück war die Eröffnung der Folge "Eine Nacht im Oktober" aus der Reihe Derrick. Nebenbei mit einer fantastischen schauspielerischen Leistung von Traugott Buhre.
Saw Steve Miller last night 7/2/23 in Bethel and at 79 still rocks.....voice is "almost" the same and guitar skills still there...awesome show...so grateful.
The sound of his voice and back up singer in this song . amazing. Gives me a feeling of joy I can't explain. Killer bass also. Can't wait to see them in Oct. In Milwaukee
