You don't build the mentality of the players by getting them out of jail from the manager all the time. They have to play through adversity to lift the floor of the mentality. It's early in the second season and if they want to be rid of the Spursy moniker, the manager can't bail them out. If you want to challenge on all fronts, they will face bigger adversity than the 2nd half of Brighton.

Basic human psychology is at play here. No 1. We had players being abused relentlessly by fans for weeks on end. As a spurs fan, I believe the team and coach for the large part, often overrated, even considered as a top 6 club . Its very much a hit and a miss team. Spurs is a mid-table team, on a good day, depending on the form of who they are playing against, they have good players, but the club mentality from the top, including that of the fans, seems to be less demanding. They look for 'well behaved' players, they see big character players as too arrogant, not well behaved, sign lambs and wants them to play like wolves.
