Not the best ... Just his most répétitive music work ... as Manuel Gottsching ( Ash Ra Temple ) , Klaus Schultze or Tangerine Dreams ... But it's a very good hypnotic track ! 😎
In the mid-1970's I'd have had my mind blown by this amazing piece of music. I had to rely on Tangerine Dream and Klaus Schulze. But, my favourite Steve Roach album/track is Soul Tones. I prefer the dreamy, floating style to the 1970's sequencers.
I've got a quite a few Steve Roach albums now and love his stuff so much but I'd never heard this before. This really is one of his best ever pieces! As it says on his website, this piece melds successfully pure ambient space music with rhythmic sequencer-based electronic music.
love this music and have bought a ton on amazon and itunes, and most of it ive found on videos like this on youtube that otherwise I wouldnt have known existed. This is great advertising!
+NGC_1277 those were awesome times, never too late to dig into wonderfull music tho. Funny how tastes change. At your age I was deep into Black Sabbath etc
I first heard a small part of the "structures of silence" by THE ONE AND ONLY Steve Roach during a documentary about life after life.. This is the very first time I had ever heard this type of music and it struck a chord with me literally!! I absolutely would love to meet this guy and/or find all of his masterpieces thus far... but for now I would settle for "Structures of Silence" audio and/or both! I hope someone out there can help??? PLEASE PLEASE??? Thanking you in advance
www.steveroach.com is a great place to start,if you have not already. Depending on what your tastes are in Ambient soundscapes,Steve has got a wide array of sounds. Check out his "Ambicon 2013 concert" which is actually here on youtube in its entirety. I especially like his earlier Tribal Ambient works. Dreamtime Return is his epic album, stands the test of time in its creativity. Another favorite of mine which is very percussive and ambient as well as Shamanic is "Dream Tracker" and "The Serpents Lair". Happy Journeying.
I put in a friend request over on facebook. From there I can pretty much help you in more detail with Steve Roach or most other new age/elecronic music artists currently gracing our ears with their music.
Heather, I hope this doesn't offend you, but you really mean figuratively. 'Literally' would be if you were the instrument and the chord was struck on you. That word has become so cliche now that so many people use it intending to intensify their meaning and forget it really is defined to be the actual denotative sense of a given word like 'chord'. It is thus confused with figurative which is defined to be meaning in form. You are using it this way, music/chord are what in form being 'struck' with you. Thus, you are making a metaphoric use of the word 'chord' not a literal use.
Ce magnifique morceau peut disparaître je le dispose en CD avec beaucoup de Steve Roach et Robert Rich Michael stearn John Serrie David parson Klaus schulze radio massacre international ...... .Internet ma fait d autres superbes compositeurs SYMPA
There used to be a video on RU-vid (or maybe Vimeo?) that was this song with a evolving space visualizer. Used to put it on all the time and just let the track take me places. Anyone know where to find it?
@@carbonbased08 Oh my god thank you so much! I was trying to describe this track and the visualizer to my wife and I sounded so crazy without being able to show it. This is so nostalgic for me, made my evening.
