What a great interview. Steve is the incarnation of passion and humility, not always the case with the music super stars. Now I know very little about music instruments but I recognize a geek when I see one and while I don't understand all this stuff I recognize the passion and this energy stays with you whatever age you have. It has always befuddled me and made me laugh my arse off Slash is considered a brilliant guitarist. He is THE most globally brilliantly marketed guitarist but he cannot even compete with Steve 'Fingers' Stevens. Tracii Guns who grew up as Slash's best mate and the 'Guns" in GnR is after Tracii - he too blows Slash away. Steve is a guitar God. Billy Morrison's joining the band has been extremely fruitful, he free's State up live and BM is an extremely solid song writer. Seen Steve live a decade ago - and I HOPE I see him again. His Knaggs guitars are just truly beautiful, but VERY expensive.
