Met him in Seattle in the Seattle Colosseum at the Seattle Center in the 90’s. I , almost, pushed him to the ground out of excitement. He had terror in his eyes & it took me months to get over the embarrassment!! My husband said,” Forget it, he probably has worse sh&t h happen to him all the time!”
I've think as soon as Steve Winwood finally said Please don't go away, don't go away period, that means he cannot hold it in any longer. He is ready to burst out and cry 😢.
Yeah!!!!!!!! Steve Winwood, just keep on dancing that John Travolta dance rhythm music forever and ever, while you'll be fighting back those tears forever and ever.
With this song, Steve Winwood shows us that he totally should have produced Sheena Easton's debut album. Always liked this one, though -- it's one of those songs that gets into your head and then won't leave.
That Steve Winwood, (with that song that in it's combination mixture of the British classic rock with it's jazz fusion ensemble soul disco dance new wave electronic flashlight music that resembles Glad, The Low Of High Heel Boys, Night Fever by The Bee Gees, Do You Think That I'm Sexy by Rod Stewart, Grave Yard People and even lile Dream Gerrard), also shows you as well that Steve Winwood, (as he's holding back his tears from crying), will foreverlasting as for eternity be dancing the John Travolta's disco dance as long as he lives, but in a British dance style and that is while foreverlasting thinking about his long gone second hand woman.
and these electronic keyboards even sounds like the jazzy Traffic flashlight classical saxophone playing as like Dream Gerrard, Low Sparks of High heel Boys and even like Glad.
of course those classical electronic keyboards sounds like that saxophone playing brass instruments as that of those sounds like Glad, Low Sparks of High Heel Boys and even like Dream Gerrard.
now all he can do is to keep on dancing that John Travolta's disco rhythmic dancefloor music but in a classy British traffic jazzy style and in a glad flashlight style of music.
and as these new wave electronic keyboards has made its jazzy Traffic flashlight saxophone fusion and in a British classic punk rock twist style of music as like the that of Glad.
then Steve Windwood will be forever dance the John Travolta's disco dancing music forever with tears inside his eyes, while thinking about that second hand woman forever.
and as long as Steve Windwood dances the John Travolta's disco dancing but in a British traffic jazzy flashlight smooth classical punk rock electronic style, he'll be crying in the inside.
It was done In his home. Totally recorded the entire thing and played on all the tracks 1979 80...

Tell the truth it's pretty similar to modern 'production values'. Pretty much like all modern recordings, Steve was one the first artist to build his own budget recording studio. Home studios sounded like crap back then, and still do now.
and that is, while he'll be thinking about that second hand woman forever and ever, he might as well dance the John Travolta's disco rhythm dance, and forever and ever and ever.
and it even sounded like Steve Windwood wanted to clap his hands but he's found the wrong time to do it, because at the end, it was too late. The song faded away and has ended.
but those electric keyboards has a flashlight saxophone jazzy traffic British classic rock style sound like Low Sparks of High Heel Boys Graveyard People and even like Glad.
Steve Winwood has always done dynamic lyrics song writing plus great voice, I had tons of girlfriends in the 80s and they all loved his music too. Thanks Steve
and while dancing the John Travolta's disco rhythm style, but as a style of a British traffic jazzy flashlight classic rock style, he'll be crying in the inside, not on the outside.
