Completely agree. The character design for Guile looked closer to Ivan Drago imo...

Snake_Raider no bro. Dolph Lundgren is 6'6 too tall to play Col. William Guile in the 1994 " Street Fighter:The Movie" opposite actor Raul Julia as General M. Bison at 6'2 playing the Shadowlaw Organization dictator. Jean- Claude Van Damme was the better choice for Col. Guile.

@ChrisAndrewsHeavenAngel Yes, Dolph is massive, but outside of his height, he resembles Guile more in the face, then Van Damme, on top of that Dolph's accent is more passable.

@@HellRaider19 In his younger years he had Guile's appearance but Capcom / Universal Pictures film representatives chose Jean- Claude Van Damme because he was more popular and more well known than Dolph Lundgren. Van Damme was the right height, size and look for Guile. They could have given JCVD the exact haircut of the SF character but he was given an altered hairstyle. It was okay. It was more Van Damme's look outside of the actual characters look. Van Damme's martial arts fame is up there with Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan. Van Damme is a high- level martial arts champion and has his own monument just like Bruce Lee does. So Van Damme was the better choice. They wanted him in the 1995 " Mortal Kombat" film. Van Damme had already signed for the 1994 " Street Fighter" film opposite actor Raul Julia who played, General M. Bison. I already saw Raul Julia as. Bison after seeing him play Gomez Addams in the " Addams Family" films.

@@HellRaider19 Van Damme spoke good clear english so the unnecessary fussing about how he speaks is childish. He spoke good english playing Col. Guile. Van Damme's english speaking was an issue when he was new to america along time ago. He had to fluently speak american english.
