Legend?... No. He's more than that, he is Mr Liverpool... The goals he scored in big games (Milan, West Ham, Olympiakos) his attitude, his personality. It was so hard for me to watch this interview imagine how it must have been for Gerrard. I was privileged to watch this guy growing up n I wish him the best of luck. P.S I'm a Manchester City fan but I can honestly say I wanted Liverpool to win the BPL last season because of him.

Football is a cruel world for a player at times. Steven Gerrard epitomizes loyalty to a club. Remember Alex Ferguson wanted to buy him when he was only 12 - he refused. He is a model player, a model sportsman and someone to emulate. He played with the good, the bad and the ugly at LFC. No matter who one supports, you have to be sporting enough to give credit where credit is due and Stevie G deserves credit. As a South African supporter of Liverpool, I am going to miss the commentator's screams of "It's Gerrrrrrrrrrard again". Go well mate and like you said," we will see you soon".

I am a real Stephan Gerrard Fan and I believe that the real reason he is going is because he has not got over that unfortunate slip last year and he is reminded of it every day he stays in England. Now that he has made a decision to move that is now the focus and not that heart breaking slip. It is something exciting and positive replacing something negative and therefore therapy for him. I wish him the best but the FA cup is still to come first
