I love this song and to me it can only be sung by Steven. I still will always wish for a reunion with BNL, although I must admit leaving the band seems to have been good for him, he lost weight, looks healthy and relaxed.
Oh man. What a wicked surprise at the end when he rips that solo!! What a great ending to this power house of a tune. Wish the backing band played with his energy. Or I really wish the band was BNL. :). Anyone catch the reunion performance at the Juno’s? Major chemistry happening. Fingers crossed for more in the future.
@P Lloyd Yes to his solo! Thumbs up to the band! They were perfectly tight and right onto the song …. They’re a backing band, not BNL so they’re not “supposed” to put themselves out front show-wise.

Love that solo to end things off. Played faster here than the original to. Excellent. He sounds great. Backing band could have a little more energy. Music stands !? Or it could be BNL 🤞🤞
I don't know if anybody will agree, the song sounds like it lacks something. And if BNL will play this, it sounds like it lacks something too. Both should call and answer.
+reaverscav I agree. Alchemy was at work while Steven Page was in the band. Sad that no one seems to think a reunion is likely. BNL is now only a good band, in my opinion.
He wasn't thrown away from BNL because of drugs, he rather felt he needed to have a spot of his own, I don't know why. I still listen to BNL's new stuff, as well as Steven Page's new stuff. But I always keep in my mind and heart the desire of both parts getting together, like millions of fans, I guess. God willing, one of these days...
I agree with you 100%. Page doing this solo is too tinny, there's no warmth. Barenaked Ladies doing this without Page has the warmth but no fill. It's not the fucking same. :'(
reaverscav - it lacks a LOT. Half of the song's power was having musicians like those in BNL performing the song. It sounds like Page is singing to a prerecorded backing track.
