If you closely at Leah’s face, she has such a Jewish soul honestly. I can tell that she is a holy woman. If you watch Spielberg receiving the Academy award for Schindlers List, you can see her crying while all the audience is applauding. She was crying for the 6 million souls that were murdered for being Jewish.

Seems Spielberg's mom thought the Rebbe would be impressed who her son was. Typical Rebbe, of blessed and righteous memory, he was not. What is she, he and others doing, not did, to promote Yiddishkeit to Jews? May we all continue going from strength to strength. Baruch Hashem.

Her ex husband took the blame for a purported affair, which she actually committed. That anger in their son was the fuel for ET the movie. Only later in life did he find out it was her and not the father who ended the relationship.
