Steven Universe S3 E14 THE NEW LARS | AyChristene Reacts 

One thing i did like is that when steven said he told sadie in lars body he loved her, he wasn’t angry but generally curios what she said, showing that was in back of his mind but he never had the nerve to speak it.

This episode always upsets me. I get that Lars is not a good and kind person, but this episode shows that nobody actually cares for his feelings. When he discovers that a kid was controlling his body, he gets told off by the people he admires because his reaction is not "chill" enough. His parents actually apologise to the kid who possessed his body because he is angry, and call him a name he dislike in front of everyone he cares about. This episode made me understand better Lars and why he is bottling up his emotions : because everyone is always telling him that they are not valid. In this episode, he has every reasons to be upset about what Steven did, but everyone tells him to just get over it, and it infuriates me

"Steven, you're staring a little bit." Steven:(Eyes bugged out) "No I'm not...." Never liked how Lars was treated for being mind controlled for a whole day. Everyone other than Sadie treats him like hes being unreasonable.

God it always hurts me as a lars fan to see Reactors have reasonable reactions to early Lars, cuz he just says and acts so out of pocket, but i've always vibed with it in a way that i see him kinda like early Squidward from Spongebob, just enjoying his somewhat suffering cuz he's clearly always getting the short end despite putting himself there.

What's I like about this episode is that we get a glimpse into Lars' life. What I don't like and haven't seen people talking about is how Steven has a controlling way about him.

Yeah this is personally my least favorite episode in the whole show. steven just felt so out of character here, it felt like he backtracked all the way back to naive s1 steven. and the episode bashes on lars so much that it'd make you think that lars is some horrible person if you've never watched the show. yeah he's rude and a jerk sometimes but this episode made it seem like he's awful. not to mention everyone else during the scene where lars got control of his body back made it seem like he's was in the wrong for freaking out. if someone spent a day in your body and you had no clue what they've done would you be perfectly calm?? The only people who actually felt reasonable in this episode were lars and sadie. everyone else just fell so out of character. sorry for the rant i just do not like this episode. Steven universe is one of if not my favorite show but this episode just gets me going lmao.
