Note: Spinel being surprised that someone would love her 'like this' (referring to her new design) is likely a nod to her being an off-color, with the streaks under her eyes. She was part of gem culture where being off-color was a flaw worth destruction.

Every time someone ends up reflected in Garnet's visor, they're SCREWED.

You ever realize that Spinel was just a thematic inversion of the crystal gems? Whilst the crystal gems were a social and later civil rebellion centered around those who were forced into roles they didn't want, to act like people they weren't, Spinel was the inverse. She was built with a single purpose, and that was to be a best friend to Pink (although in reality she was more of a toy than anything else), which when Pink abandoned her that was taken away. She *wants* dependence, she *needs* to fulfill her designated role. Her entire conflict essentially boils down to not being able to be what she was made to be.

I would honestly die for little Spinel, she was so sweet before PD abandoned her.

Pink had a really immature way of handling things. Instead of lying to spinel she could have proofed & bubbled her, she could have gifted her to the diamonds, she could have set her free, she could have created a new gem for spinel to play with but nope. PD has to screw someone else over

When Amethyst turned into Rose Quartz, sure it has no effect on Pearl, but it had an effect on Garnet. Notice there’s a shot that she seems fascinated on Rose.

a thing i noticed in the no matter what in the part when steven says “just remember this song” and amethyst replies with “how it go it forgot” it shows that she was starting to learn to not mimic all of what steven says, she was able to remember how to speak!

I haven't seen anyone talk about spinels eyes how they bobble around from time to time like doll eyes which really suits her role she was made to entertain she's a doll idk I just thought that seemed like a fun untalked about feature of her Design

It really struck me that Steg aura floats everyone, except Spinel.

Greg's arm getting hit with acid and healed was a reference to when they had a whole episode about Greg getting hurt and pretending to not be. Their relationship is stronger now and there's more security and trust between them. It's also reliving one of Steven's first uses of his powers.

Spinel's cut is "perfect", according to pearl and her poison is "perfect" according to peridot. Also how her gem being extremely detailed. What I mean that it is more defined like Pink's and White's. Could that mean something???

If you slow down the part where we see Garnets old reformations you can see Ruby lifting sapphire in the air.

Anyone notice Blue Diamond saying "One of Pinks lost Treasures?" There could be more stuff out there.

When the diamonds are singing "come on" in "let us adore you reprise", they reach out their hands in the same way they attacked earth in "your mother and mine".

One of the things that I loved during Spinel’s rematch with the gems is her little “no” when Garnet starts to regain her memories. Like, the fear and desperation in her voice-

Honestly this movie kinda made me dislike pd, but I died when Steven dissed his mom lol!

I love how when all the gems went back to their default factory forms, Steven wanted them all back but made it more apparent that he really wanted Garnet back because let’s be honest, that’s his real mother, pink diamond was just a incubator 🙄. Garnet actually disciplined him and with Pearl worried over him while Amethyst acted like a big sister.

You guys feel bad for Spindel because she was waiting for 6,000 years. But you would really feel bad for your Minecraft dog, that is going to wait till the end of time when you quit Minecraft.

My favorite detail is that Steven's first reaction after being "reset" was that he just needed Garnet. The gem that he treated as the de facto leader of the Crystal Gems from the start of the series. That was your first hint that his human side had reverted too.

I love how no one asks where Spinel got the injector with planet poison so quickly....

Steven has the ability to make life return after the earth was poisoned, this means he can make life return back at the kindergarten like he tried with peridot and amethyst.

Spinel was such a wonderful way of teaching people how being abandoned can change someone, but also a great way of showing that even if you feel broken there are people who are willing to take you in and love you for who you are~

I hope season 6 has a focus on the gems that didn't accept the diamond change and the whole era 3 stuff and it would be like an uprising of evil gems that want to come back with their old ways

I love the idea of Steven having a “Super Saiyan” like form where his hair turns pink and his powers get stronger

The one thing I absolutely love and can't get enough of when Spinel leaves with the Diamonds is just that I think that scene more than anything else shows the real changes they've made without realizing it. In the beginning, they are smothering Steven and it's because of all the baggage between them, Steven doesn't want to play the role they want him to so they mention everything they changed to make him happy. So whatever they've done doesn't quite come off sincere. So that actually helps show how much more genuine their reaction to Spinel is and how it's okay to be optimistic about how their relationships progress. At the end of Change Your Mind, when seeing the Off-Colors, they physically recoiled. Spinel was very obviously not in her original form with a turned gem all manifested from the pain she'd gone through. Spinel is even concerned about the Diamonds seeing her new form but when she comes out, they may not have remembered her by name, but they still recognized her. White covers her mouth and can't take her eyes off her, struck speechless. When Steven says that she was left in a garden by Pink, Blue's response is "you poor thing" sympathetic to her loneliness. Spinel playing it off in a joking goofy way gets the best most genuine laugh out of Yellow immediately by her flat out saying she likes Spinel which is honestly the cutest thing. And White falters for a moment, I'm kind of thinking she was gonna flat out ask Spinel if she'd like to join them. But yaknow, appearances of being in control kicks in and she catches herself, addressing Steven about taking Spinel back to Homeworld. But also the way Spinel and the Diamonds approach each other with the same feelings in befriending each other. They all miss Pink and really don't have anyone else they can relate to in terms of how they feel about losing her. They remind each other of Pink and they don't want to turn each other into her even if they need to remind themselves that none of them are supposed to be Pink. They all want the same thing and the way Found and Let Us Adore You come together as one song is beautiful and gets me tearing up a bit. But they see Spinel and they feel that affection for her almost immediately and the best thing is that she was still in her different form that reflected her pain and she's told she's still able to be loved and that even if it's hard to put herself out there again, it's worth it. So to me, especially contrasted with the beginning, this whole scene showed us how the Diamonds had really changed as people. That they weren't just going through the motions for Steven, they were becoming slowly more open minded without realizing it as well as being able to open themselves up to forming friendships with other gems. And this time around, they're more connected to others outside of their own little worlds of the garden or the palace, giving them somewhere and someone to turn to for help or an escape for a while. So yeah, sappy as it is, I think this is where you can begin to see the Diamonds' real road to redemption they're able to travel by themselves.

I have to say, I love the reprise of "let us adore you" it was so sweet and sincere. "Today, right here, right now, I'll love again. I finally found someone." It's all she ever really wanted, all she desired for 6000 years! She just wanted someone to love her, to care about her in some way shape or form. Spinel is like a dog (not in an insulting way, you'll see what I mean in a sec.), She wants to love someone, and be loved by that person. When she went back to her default state, what did she do? She tried to love Steven and help him. But she was pushed away again, she was betrayed again, just like with pink diamond. She's only able to truly start healing after people stopped stabbing her in the back. The diamonds showed her sincere love, not "you are a toy for my amusement" not "you are a tool to suit my needs", actual love.

Disobedient has to be my favorite song in the movie. I’m a rock nerd, can you blame me? (unintentional pun wow)
