The cosmos is vast, the largest stuff that exists. Particles are tiny, the smallest stuff that exists. Yet the particles compose the cosmos; there is nothing in the cosmos other than the particles, and the fields and forces that are associated with them. How does the whole system composed of cosmos and particles work?

An Interesting discussion trying to connect the largest stuff (the Cosmos) with the tiniest one (the particles). Well done CTT for bringing this great physicist and thinker who passed away some years ago, he usually tends to express the truth in his way. The point is that although we learned much, but we are still too far from understanding the "truth" of the particles and the "truth" of the Cosmos at large. We are still busy searching for the "Truth" and for the "Origin".

If a scientific theory is tentative and uncertain it is not a scientific theory, it is a scientific hypothesis. Too frequently we call scientific hypotheses scientific theories and that degrades the meaning of scientific theories.

Newtonian mechanics including Newtonian gravity IS a "limit case" of General Relativity. BUT The Classical Physics "framework" is NOT a "limit case" of the Quantum Physics framework. General Relativity is a theory within the Classical physics framework. To "unify" it with theories in the Quantum Framework (standard model, QFT, QED, QCD etc.) we first need to "unify" the Classical Framework with the Quantum Framework. That is, we would ideally need to find a framework that has both: the quantum and the classical frameworks as different limit cases (each emerging as approximations under certain different limiting conditions).

The earth began to cool, the autotrophs began to drool, Neanderthals developed tools, we built a wall (we built the pyramids), math, science, history, unraveling the mysteries. That all started with the big bang. BANG!

There's three realms nested like Russian dolls, dark energy > invested into dark matter > invested into regular matter, and entropy/time happens at its own pace according to the wavelengths in the realm you're looking at and it's all E equals MC squared out of an investment of gravitational energy, and then recycled through black holes. Prove me wrong. 😂

We are all physicists. And what these "physicists" today have forgotten: how to live truly and once again wonder at yonder the stars, and exercise a bit of imagination and have fun. Listening this video here, it will take 1000 years before these men come to their senses and actually reckon what the giants of antiquity recollected. Quantum is irrational and made up to mislead academics. Those who never bought it in the first place are the real students.

To some extent, the guest resembles Robert Goddard, one of those inventors I loved reading about when I was a kid. Having said that, I get aghast when people who should be respectable scientists promulgate theories about the origin of the cosmos that lack any retraceable elements that could be experimentally tested to verify their claims. It is always a leap from the state of nothingness to the enigmatic quantum system and wave function. The core concept of science is incremental, not a leap system as shown in their expositions.

"How Do Particles Explain the Cosmos?" The answer to this question is IMPOSSIBLE because explaining the Cosmos requires understanding the Spiritual World of God that is beyond the physical realm... ...however, the following light might help you understand how and why the Cosmos came to be : We all are responsible for the existence of our Physical Universe because we were once ONE WHOLE GOD who created this Great Cosmos before He split Himself into free souls (us). In other words, as One Whole God, we all have the hand in the decision to split and the decision to create this Universe. So, God alone is not all accountable for all the consequences of the decision to split just to have a free loving family. WE ALL ARE RESPONSIBLE ! You soon will discover this truth when your temporary "life's chance of salvation through faith" ends where only your immortal souls survive... In the beginning is the "WORD" which does not mean man's vocal chords but means the vibrations of spirits from a tiny portion of God's infinite Spiritual World that had FUSED to create our Physical World. This is how the Universe begun, not by explosion nor inflation but by FUSION... ...and, as ONE WHOLE GOD before we split, our purpose for the creation of this Cosmos is to provide a temporary home for free splits, or us free souls, who may go astray for a chance of salvation through faith. You are always free to choose to ignore this light and continue staring at UNCONSCIOUS Bigbang as the origin of your AWARENESS.... Looking like a funny clown is also a choice, so, go ahead..

*The World of Physics:* "The universe is expanding, but that doesn't mean it has any size. We can trace back the universe to 1/10 of its size, but again, it really has no size. We currently lack understanding of elementary particles. There are "exotic" particles that we desperately need to know more about. General Relativity and Quantum Mechanics don't work well together. When QM is applied to space and time, we get mathematical inconsistencies. You can only make probabilistic statements about the behavior of particles. We don't have a decent quantum theory of gravity. There are conceptual problems with the wave function." I do not believe in God, but based on the above, I can see why they still believe. As some theologians keep saying, some questions demand an answer, and they have one. Whether it's true or not is another question, but they have an answer which has the added feature of being unverifiable and therefore irrefutable. Double points bonus score! It's just that they all disagree what the features of that answer are. Meanwhile some of us are ok with saying when we don't know things.

@@simonhibbs887 *"As some theologians keep saying, some questions demand an answer, and they have one."* ... For every question there is an answer. *"Whether it's true or not is another question, but they have an answer which has the added feature of being unverifiable and therefore irrefutable."* ... That's because they aren't interested in a scientific approach to understanding "Existence." They (along with me) don't believe science can do it all on its own, and none of science's explanations speak to the true essence of life, consciousness, and existence. Religion essentially takes everything that constitutes perfection, life, love, virtue, wholesomeness, goodliness, and righteousness and encapsulates it all into a single construct called God. Some religions have different criteria for what should be encapsulated into their construct, but they all winnow out the *highest conceivable value* of whatever "Existence" has to offer and then make it part of their construct. Once this is established, the faithful align themselves to the construct because they know that no matter what happens along the way, they are aligned with the *very best that "Existence" has to offer.* So, they don't care about a bunch of physicists battling over particles vs waves, QM vs relativity, or if there is a multiverse. They can be wrong or right, and it still doesn't matter. They have a clear path, ... _and they follow it!_ And again, ... I don't blame them!
@simonhibbs887
@simonhibbs887 3 месяца назад
@@0-by-1_Publishing_LLC >They can be wrong or right, and it still doesn't matter. They have a clear path, ... and they follow it! Actually I don't have a problem with that, religion as a personal commitment makes sense to me. There are things in my life, such as the love of my children, that i can't prove scientifically and it doesn't matter. Likewise if someone loves god, as they imagine god, I understand the attraction of that. Meditative practices and Buddhism are more my style, but whatever works for people is ok by me, and really it's none of my business. I've said many times science can't disprove religion, that's not a scientific question. Where it does get to be everyone's business is when people take religion and make claims about the world that, on investigation, turn out to be false. It's not religion as such I have a problem with, it's bad arguments and religious busybody-ism.
@0-by-1_Publishing_LLC
@0-by-1_Publishing_LLC 3 месяца назад
*"Likewise if someone loves god, as they imagine god, I understand the attraction of that."* ... That's why I believe Christianity is so popular. Theism took everything that's already encapsulated into the construct called "God" and put a human face on it (Jesus Christ). Now God becomes something everyone can love and personally relate to. And when Christians die, they have an unimaginably beautiful paradise that awaits them in God's kingdom. The outcome of an afterlife, eternal existence, and unimaginable love all serve as *motivation* for staying true to their faith in a world that often presents itself as hopeless. I do the same whenever I create my art. When I was writing my book, I envisioned it selling millions of copies, changing the course of mankind, and giving J.K. Rowling a run for her money. These all served as *motivation* to keep myself pushing forward. I needed to "believe" in this grandiose outcome in order to physically make it through the pain and suffering of writing it. If I envisioned it selling maybe ten copies, nobody reading it and it ultimately being lost within the billions and billions of books that have already been written, then I would have never finished it. Envisioning the "ultimate outcome" is what can make miracles happen! Another example is that I'm almost finished with a 10-month-long animated cartoon. All along the way I've pictured it being widely accepted, gleaning 20M views, appearing in mainstream news articles, and being discussed by countless highly influential people. Regardless of the outcome, that's what has kept me moving my ten characters' little arms and legs around over the past ten months. If I envisioned it only getting a few hundred views, twelve likes, and a couple of favorable comments (which is what people refer to as a more "realistic perspective"), ... _then why even bother?_ *"Where it does get to be everyone's business is when people take religion and make claims about the world that, on investigation, turn out to be false"* ... In comparison, there are many "science followers" who claim there is a multiverse and an equal number who say there is just this single universe. ...One of these two claims must be wrong! *"It's not religion as such I have a problem with, it's bad arguments and religious busybody-ism."* ... Yes, a 4500-year-old Earth, Adam and Eve, and a universe that was created in seven days are rather hard to swallow. But the religions that came up with these arguments are thousands of years old. These are the stories that were handed down over time based on a lack of information, and people are not supposed to change the fundamental elements of their religion. In their minds, it doesn't really matter, and it's better to simply "stick with tradition" rather than change what has been working all along.

Let's further explore how redefining fundamentality around 0D instead of higher dimensions could revolutionize physics and beyond: Quantum Gravity and Unification: A primary motivation has been resolving the incompatibilities between quantum theory and general relativity. Theories that derive 4D spacetime from more fundamental 0D network nodes could accomplish this: - Loop Quantum Gravity's spin networks providing a discrete 0D substrate from which geometry and gravity holographically emerge. - String/M-theory with vibrating 0D strings as the ultimate realities, dimensions arising as compactifications. - Causal Set approaches modeling spacetime as a discrete order of 0D event nodes and causal links. Unifying all forces as geometric degrees of freedom in the 0D network could finally achieve Einstein's dream of geometrizing physics. Quantum Foundations and Information: Moving to a 0D primacy framework could resolve many interpretational paradoxes in quantum theory: - The measurement problem by modeling observations as information transfer across the 0D network - Fundamental non-locality by having no underpinning space to be local in initially - The role of the observer by treating perception as information patterns in the 0D physics It could reveal quantum theory as an effective statistical mechanics of information dynamics on the 0D "atoms of reality." Cosmology and the Universe: Deriving our extended dimensions as emergent could shed new light on cosmic origins and structure: - The Big Bang as a holographic projection outwards from an initially compactified 0D seed - Cosmic inflation as rapid 0D network growth generating space quasi-classically - Dark matter/energy as geometrical degrees of the fundamental 0D network condensing our observed dimensions - The cosmological constant problem and naturalness issues resolved by dimensional emergence Universe lifecycle cosmology could arise naturally from the network's discrete evolution. Mathematics and Modeling: Even mathematics may need to be rebuilt from the ground up in a 0D primacy paradigm: - Algebraic topology, category theory, and homotopy mapping the 0D network dynamics - Geometric algebra and non-commutative geometry as the 0D variable structure - Discrete computational frameworks like cellular automata and artificial networks replacing continuum models - Novel logics, computability and complexity theories based on the fundamental 0D algebra From pure mathematics to physical applications, we may need to upgrade our entire conceptual toolbox and language. While unimaginably difficult to develop rigorously, the potential advantages of such a primordial 0D framework in terms of conceptual unification, infinity avoidance, quantum reality, and derivation of all observed phenomena make it an enticing goal for pioneering theorists across disciplines. Every branch of physics and connected fields could be rewritten from the ground up. The sheer ambition and profound impacts on our cosmic comprehension mean every path must be intrepidly explored.
