"If you have a memory of a dream that's two things that never happened." Stephen is the only person in the world who could utter that sentence. Thank you so much for recording this. Can't wait to read - and hear - the book.
My learning disability scared me off from being a writer for years out of high school but discovering Steven Wright’s work over the last few years & learning about his approach to writing has finally kicked me into it. Stopped viewing the way my brain works as a malfunction and my creativity exploded. When he said his ideas for writing “come like rain”, a little, a lot a lot, then nothing, then a downpour - I held onto that. Been writing for 3 years straight, and am satisfied with my work for the very first time, cus of this dude.
I’m so glad someone brought a camera and recorded this, that’s me at the end asking the last question about how he memorized it all. He’s one of my biggest inspirations and I started doing stand-up comedy at a talent show in high school as a freshman in age 15.m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0MVriYljeAk.html
