For the thirteen cents I paid for each one of those I mean they were okay. I wouldn't call them unforgettable. He read a script someone else wrote and performed to someone else's tune.
I quit watching TWD after they killed Glen..I always said, if they kill off Daryl or Glen, I'm out! & I never watched another episode.. some characters are irreplaceable.
Nah, that's not the problem. The problem was shortly after this event, they followed less of the source material and did their own thing. And it was not good. Glenn has always been my favorite character, but I can assure you, the comics following his death were still very good. The show plummited in quality when they went off script(comic)
@@UmbraFox6Guy literally said he would quit watching if Glenn was killed off so that was exactly the problem. How are you gonna correct someone's personal boundary? 🤔
@@ethan4547it’s the internet. Some people think correcting other people’s opinions is the whole point, usually in addition to them creating trash opinions of their own from other people’s opinions the algorithm fed them.
@@ASMR-rt7ie and that is one of the reasons why we dont have many original shows. They cant afford to realistically kill favorite characters so we are left with plot armor.
There seems to be a lot of gender and race swapping going on at marvel at the moment, to me it makes on sense, all people want is good story and strong acting from male and female actors, just give people what they ask for, not what they're gonna get🇬🇧
@HarrisMiller-qw6xh the problem is they will make a half assed movie and defend criticism by calling critics racist or sexist. There are tonnes of movies with non white leads that have done really well and needed none of these changes and there are ways changes are done that make sense and are enjoyed well. A few examples of good changes are Miles Morales as spiderman, Jason Mamoa as aquaman, and Fahrenheit 451 with Micheal B Jordan. Most people could care less about character race so long as it makes sense or doesn't alter the identity of a film. But if a beloved franchise is massacred by bad writing don't put race and gender swapped characters as a gimic to resell it or sheild it from criticism.
@@HarrisMiller-qw6xh Because they're trying to make up for all the Forced White Male Supremacy and poor treatment of women and nonwhites they did for years.
They should have never written him out of the W D. He indeed was the ♡ of the show ,and after he was gone, that confidence and hope in the future had simply vanished. Long live Glenn Rhee, the fierce warrior who gave it his all ⚒️🏹
@GoldChocobo77 too bad. He was incredibly in the WD. It's just not the same without him. I can do without the others that have ☠️ but Glenn....he was the best!
Such a crap take. No it isn’t black and white and the quality of the projects range from meh to good. The problem is the lack of consistency and the sheer amount of meh. He isn’t to good for shit
MCU isn't even bad now. Fans just have a terrible case of nostalgia and are upset they have too much stuff to keep track of. Shang Chi was good Spiderman no way home was good Doctor strange 2 was good Guardians of the Galaxy was good They struggle with thor 4 Antman 3 The marvels MCU is literally about to release Deadpool 3-the reason why that's such a big deal is again because of nostalgia hugh jackman as wolverine, the guy who first played the character on the big screen 2000. Fans are going to have to eventually grow up and be more open to change.
Actually I was thinking the guy who played Asian Jim would be a good fit for that role too. I really like Insomniacs first Mr Negative design and I think he could pull off the look and personality of the character.
when steven was younger I could have easily seen him as a korean version of spiderman (such an underrated actor btw) Edit: didn’t mean to start any internet cat fights btw but probably shoulda expected it, my b
I wouldn't bring out the facts if I were you. You'll get the double standard stans who think Caleb McLaughlin shouldn't play Miles cause he's "not literally afro latino" despite looking like Miles and being a great role. As if Steven Yeun looked like Sentry at all 😆
@@ShmadenShmuki. I didn't Hate it. Didn't love it. For me It was just one of those shows you put on, watch the first couple episodes intently then slowly start treating each episode as background noise until the season finally. I pretty much don't remember any of the show if that tells you anything about it.
I said the same thing about Mahershala Ali playing Blade. So disappointed...I honestly think the same thing. I would understand if he does take a Marvel role but I hope he doesn't.
@clafleur1993 No, it's not. It literally just won BEST NETFLIX DRAMA of last year and got Steven Yeun and Ali Wong Golden Globes. I also agree it's a great show
I was a huge TWD fan back in the day, the 7th season, when Glenn and Abraham were killed, premiered on my birthday ( at 4 AM where I live), and i remember spending my birthday crying because of it.🥴 I tried watching the rest of the series after that, but it felt like a completely new show and i eventually gave it up. However, I'm still a huge Steven Yeun fan, he's extremely talented and I'm so glad he finally won some big awards this year for his performance in Beef!
That really sucks having that episode on your birthday. I remember watching it and feeling sick afterwards. I had to surround myself with happy stuff because I felt ill. I was so used to watching dark and gory stuff but that was the first time it felt real. After that episode, I have gradually distanced myself from hyperviolence. It is so nice seeing him in so many projects since. I loved Beef as well!! He did a great job.
I didn’t realize it was him until years later Bro is absolutely phenomenal at voice acting, he’s also invincible but they feel like completely different!!!
I watched it just because I had just barely started enjoying the first season of telltales twd for the first time and wanted to watch the show to both see how good it could be and to have something to do with dad every episode so I started watching with him, had to rewatch a couple episodes for me to be on it with him but it was great to do until they killed the last few good characters off and michonne stopped being michonne
Marvel and Disney are a cancer on this world at this point They pretend diversity and inclusion is for good but really they segregate and exclude based on gender and skin colour They also hate white men, straight to be precise so he would get humiliated and destroyed Not werf the money, It really damaged reputations
@@SM-oc4rc Absolutely! But he's already been in some pretty good stuff and deserves to have one of those set for life movies. I loved him in walking dead, beef and invincible
He's incredibly humble and down to earth. I was bartending and he was sitting at the bar and we were shooting the shit for a good 20 minutes before I pulled my head out of my ass and realized who I was talking to. Great guy.
One of the best characters in a series to ever be. I feel for the people, when he was offed in the walking dead I felt like a part of my life faded away
I met him about 4-5yrs or so ago and he was a bro. I told him I was a fan of the WD graphic novels before the show was even out and a huge fan of Glen and he was PERFECTLY cast.
I mean straying from the source material was getting far out of hand by that point in the show. But of all things they chose to stay true to the comics on it was that? It’s like the writers were just choosing to drive down all the wrong lanes
@@spencerbowden2979 The largest issue was the fake "killing" of him, and him getting out of what should have been a death sentence, just to immediately kill him off. Everyone says killing him off was what killed the viewership, but I specifically remember all of the comments at the time being more so pissed off about the fact they did a fake out for zero reason, made you think Abraham was taking his place with Negan, then saying nah he still dies here.
@@Th1sUsernameIsNotTaken Nah his death actually did cause an impact imo, not only was it the fake out death but the fact that one of the wholesome good character, a character people grew up since season 1 died so unfairly, just made the series more depressing and more about violence, drama, and a opera show, but when Glenn was around, you know damn well TWD was at its prime when he was in the picture.
@@NateDoesYT I'm not saying it wasn't part of it, but people were extremely pissed off about the fake out. It's all you saw in the comments when it happened, just to kill him off in the season opener. I think if they didn't do the fake out, they wouldn't have lost as much of the fan base as they did. They still would have lost some, but not to the extent they did.
@@Th1sUsernameIsNotTaken100%. This is exactly why I stopped watching. I was so pissed with the show writers for pulling that sh*t that I never watched another episode once Glenn was killed off. I did give Fear the Walking Dead a shot and that was pretty good from what I remember.
It was so sad and horrifying. He was so close to getting to see and hold his newborn son who looks exactly like him and everyone loves Glenn, so many fakeout deaths too. But this was the time to brace since he died like this in the comics too
He forgot to mention that he nominated for an Oscar award for Mineri and he's done lots of work since the walking dead like being the best thing in the Nope movie and one of my favorite movies from him is Mayhem on shudder so yeah he's doing Great 😃👍
Yea I dropped off TWD after they killed him off. I was totally into it cuz he's a Korean brother. Let's assume that the 25% was the total Koreans watching. Lol
Viewership didnt fall because he died. Viewership fell because of how he died. Like it or not, that was reality. A lot of average folks who didnt follow the graphic novel werent down with that extreme.
all of his projects are just so good. his skills really got me interested in him in TWD, and since then I’ve loved all his work. Mayhem, Beef, Nope, and my favorite movie of all time Okja. Every time he’s on screen, I know i’m in for a ride.
For a more darker and dramatic tone Yeun would've been good, but as a funnier and light hearted tone with Awkwafina, Simu knocked it out of the park 🎉🎉🎉
@@amanpotdaryes with awkwafina, not so great with Tony Leung. I didn’t feel the father and son struggle at all, which was a more important part of the movie
Oh child….. Hitchcock never won a. Oscar….. nobody pays attention to awards…. And how spread out entertainment is nowadays …. Most people would just know The Walking Dead….
@alejandromolinac Actors r usually nominated for 1 show alone. They don't get nominated for numerous shows at once. They're worthless tho....that I agree w.
It was the most intense and horrifying game of enemy Eeny Meeny Miney Mo. I remember it like yesterday when it came out. I was in the living room in the dark at night by myself and it was silent. I was sweating and shaking along with the characters waiting for what would come and waiting for who Negan was going to kill with the Vampire bat, Lucille
We stopped watching the show after that episode. We felt like it was unnecessarily brutal and disrespectful to his character. Just left a bad taste in my mouth. We were done
@@TheFinalGate_ Glenn’s character deserved a hero’s ending. Perhaps flashes of his life as he was slow-mo collapsing after the final blow and by the time his head was about to touch the ground we’re in a beautiful meadow and his vision of Maggie smiling down at his face as she is cradling his head on her lap and their child is crawling on him and the world is right again. A hero’s head shouldn’t hit the ground in a bloody mess as the final shot. There needed to be more Glenn because a show like that is responsible for memorializing him too if they don’t want to piss off the fans. The episode was more about Negan’s chaotic character than Glenn’s goodby.
@@jdrussell3828 and a lot of people stopped watching the show. I could care less about the comic. And the show went downhill and started bleeding viewers. They should have changed it.
