They used twitch to promote a online gambling site and they were telling their fans to use their "promo codes" that would help them win but in reality Steve and the rest of his friends were getting percentages for everybody they convinced to go blow all their money and never win on those sites

I knew Steve-will-do-it would crash, and HARD! Steve was too wreckless, too arrogant, too disrespectful, emotionally immature, his content was not helpful to young men, emphasised things instead of substance, had no educational value, demonstrated the futility and fleeting nature of investing ones future in things and digital platforms that can be deleted at the push of a button. Being such a likeable personality I can see he will embrace his lessons and move forward with more caution.
This whole segment epitomizes the saying that 'the higher you climb, the harder you fall'. Steve's clearly still in the thick of processing what's going on -- seems to be in a mild state of shock even -- and hasn't surfaced out of the darkness yet. It's understandable and it's relatable, a big chunk of your livelihood and your identity has just been stripped away with nary a whispered warning. It happens. One day you're on top, the next you're in a pit. It happens. The thing is, it wasn't the youtube channel that made Steve, it was Steve who made the youtube channel. Platforms, money, people, and even time comes and goes. Despite how caught up you are in a particular event or moment, the page keeps turning and the pen keeps stroking...so what do you intend for this chapter to represent? You can let someone write out the story for you, or you can take hold of your pen and tell your truth -- no one can take that from you. There's a peace in that.
Not only was he promoting illegal gambling to minors on his channel, but also scamming and stealing from his fans. Look up Coffeezilla on youtube and watch all the videos on Steve and Nelk. Used to love Nelk, but those videos made me lose all respect for these scam artists.
Agreed, BUT at any age, if you're a RU-vidr you have to assume your next paycheck will be your last. I feel bad though cause I would've been equally as irresponsible at that age ... probably even worse. He'll be ok though.

@@JUSTINCR3DIBULL yeah he’s part of a group called Nelk Boys a RU-vid channel that’s mostly about pranks, this guy started his own channel on the side where his first videos were mostly him getting dumb wasted (chugging a 12 pack of Coronas for example). His channel really blew up. He’s actually helped a lot of people money wise. He’s also met Donald Trump a few times. I’m just giving you a bit of who he is, he’s a pretty cool dude imo.
These are con men. People that are operating or promoting gambling websites. They literally are promoting for you to gamble away your money and possibly gamble away your family. Gambling is an addiction just like eating fast food, drugs, coffee, beer.

Think of RU-vid as what used to be a cable TV network back in the day, those shows are picked up and signed onto that network and they run them, as long as they have the contract they can cancel it etc. That's why the rappers like Key Glock are smart they self produce their music and maintain creative control of everything. It's the risk reward of using another company's platform you are essentially lesser partners with the entity itself no matter how big you get. Like Mr. Beast is an Ant compared to RU-vid itself.

I once tried to do a mortgage loan for a hall of fame football 🏈 star. He was trying to purchase a $8M home with a private money loan (8%) and had so little saving and maybe 2-3 years left as he was like 36-37 yrs old at the time. We could do it but someone else did and the property was foreclosed upon within 3 years of purchase.

I've been there with my small business I was making good money never thought it would end. During covid I was banking not like him but 500$ -700 a day profit I have a good savings but nothing it should be
