Stevie Nicks made a beautiful tribute on the death of drummer Taylor Hawkins….She said at the end of the song Gold Dust Woman she turned to the band and said best version ever!! Rip Taylor
I must point out Taylor Hawkins here, he builds up the tension throughout the song but keeps it under wraps until the very last chorus before he lets it all loose but oh boy when he lets loose he really does let it loose.
@In Texas @Native Texan ‼️ Stevie said this is her ALL-TIME FAVOURITE performance of GDW. She said it was FINALLY done Exactly the way she had intended, including the drawn out ending. Grohl wailed on that intro in a most befitting "haunting", and Hawkins⁉️ ⛓️🔗⛓️OFF THA FUCKING CHAIN❣️ Stevie's vocals have never been better. This version is her MASTERPIECE~🏵✨️🏵✨️🏵
Does anyone know if Fleetwood Mac or Stevie ever released an “Official Video” for Gold dust Woman”? Been digging thru Stevie’s career this past month after seeing both Fleetwood Mac and her 24kt Tour on AXS TV and all that drudged up some late 1980’s Jr High Memories as she was my 2nd “Rock n Roll crush” back in the day (I fell hard for a young then uncorrupted “Pretender” Chrissie Hynde & Nancy Wilson - of course) Each had their own very unique appeal that took this kids heart on a wild ride for a young teen! :) But the Foo’s are my fav band and sadly fear with Taylor now gone; we’ve heard the last of them. After Nirvana / Cobain; no one could fault Dave for wanting to hang it all up if he chooses to do so. Hard to see the band being the same anyway without Hawk. RIP Taylor. ☮️
Stevie Nicks and the Foo Fighters,up on the stage performaning together, how epic is this🎉🎉.This is a mind blowing performance and I'm loving it 🎉🎉. They sound freaking awesome and stellar 🎉🎉
What i love about this performance is that GDW is normally this ethereal song with Stevie wearing a shawl and twirling. And that’s totally great and love that. But here the Foo Fighters turned it into an awesome rock song, and you can see the gradual change in Stevie, moving from her comfort zone, build and building until around the last chorus ( about 4 minutes in) , and the she is transformed by the intensity of FF, especially Taylor and Dave right next to her . And she is just overtaken in a very amazing way. Thay are all true artists. Effing LOVE it
Stevie Nicks was in the first wave of female rock vocalists. She wrote this song, all by herself. FF are amazing musicians, and this is an amazing rendition, but Stevie Nicks, who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame TWICE, doesn't need anyone to show her how to rock a song SHE WROTE. Here she is playing it in 1977 with Fleetwood Mac...the drums are the same, the guitar and base are the same, FF were just playing the original arrangement. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-V2jfuUvRYR4.html
I have mad respect for Stevie. But if there has to be just one queen of rock, then I give it to Ann Wilson, who has a much more powerful voice and bigger range, and whose beginnings were much more hard rock than Stevie. Stevie is an incredible performer and songwriter in her own right
I've always loved how they show they are only doing these shows to have a good time share the spotlight with those that made them what they are today, and how it transfers to all around.
This is absolutely amazing! Just found it yesterday. Stevie was feelin it!!!! Foo Fighters + Stevie Nicks is it! I've been rocking out. I want a camera like this for concerts!
Stevie was definitely feeling it. It’s awesome to watch her get lost in the intensity of Taylor and right next to her. You can see gradually change. First the sunglasses come off, and from there she is IN it
Damn at the beginning I was like Stevie isn’t into this . Boy was I wrong Stevie got down! She was right best version of this song ever with other performers! Stevie You Rock!!
Not a huge Stevie or FF fan, but damn! This is a high energy killer version of a great FM song. Taylor steals the show, to cover Mick Fleetwood's drums is a feat in itself, but he even adds to that. Some great jamming from Dave here as well and Stevie still is in full voice (this is probably a decade old). One of those unexpected gems sometimes found on YT.
There's an old video of live performance of Rhiannon where it is also like an exorcism. Stevie goes to another place. She really is an excellent performer.
I know they had Hole cover her awesome song but wish they put Stevie and the Foo Fighters in the movie in a scene performing. That would've been so cool. (And Ashe would've stopped to watch while the crow's perched near her. That'd make a cool scene.)

When MAMA AIN'T HAPPY.... NOBOBY HAPPY...I GET IT!....I WILL BE THE ONLY "BLACK WIDOW" IN MY GARDEN...MEANING THIS; I have been a married woman for over 30 years, to a man who is my soulmate from a past life I'm sure of. 4 children, his mine and ours (says society). ( I don't buy what society has for sale therefore They are All mine!We also have 8 Grandchildren. Stevie may not have given birth to a child nor perhaps even married in this lifetime however she has loved. I believe, because of 'hearing' her music not just listening that this was a 'Soul Love' she speaks of...meaning there was perhaps that love from another time which she was married and did bare children with this very same story she speaks of...therefore; Mama... Mama Bear...therefore..Black widow....like her...my love is a man who's not been tamed....and I will remain, the ONLY BLACK WIDOW IN MY GARDEN(MY FAMILY) sends chills down my spine...so yes....i get it Stevie....She Knows...Stevie will Always know what's going on...
