I love it when artists express themselves so passionately. Both are downright fused with their guitars. No matter what genre of music it is, they live for their music. They are real musicians at the highest level. It makes me happy to see such performances and even more so to experience them live.
I am an old blues drummer from Holland living in Austria 64 years old now...I loved them both. Maybe from another planet who knows. Great choice love your reaction a reaction from a very nice girl 😘👍👍
As a huge fan of the blues, I followed both of these guys as soon as they hit some fame. Had tickets to see Stevie Ray in Allentown, PA back in '87 but had to miss the show due to 'life events'. Sadly he passed before I got another opportunity. And the same with Jeff Healey...gone WAY to soon. I very much enjoyed your reaction as you are expressing that as artists, each are simply their own unique entity. It can't be any other way. That said, both these guys are from the "Grip It Then Rip It" blues school. Raw and pure, their blues poured forth in a torrent of sweat.
I've always been a huge Stevie Ray fan and Jeff Healey but I never saw so thank you for watching this with everyone. If you want a classic and great Jeff Healey check out Angel Eyes. You'll love it more for his vocals. Thank you again for this one!!
Absolutely! Jeff Beck at times took it as a competition, when they did there short tour together! There is a story where J Beck got so frustrated, he ripped his strings off his guitar! As B.B.King and Eric Clapton would say, SRV never ran out of ideas. They both had never seen or heard of anyone like him.
I doubt that, what I heard Jeff saying was he would never be anything without Stevie. Stevie was 16 years older than Jeff. What competition, Stevie died Jeff was like 22 i guess, not going to check wiki now but seems accurate. Stevie was a mentor to Jeff not competition, thats the bottom line
How great would it be if everyone did what they were born to do. SRV and Jeff are doing the only thing that they were meant to do.Every one’s life is better thanks to these guys.🔥🎸
The Vaughan Brothers - Tick Tock Stevie Ray Vaughan and his brother Jimmie may have only released one album together during Stevie’s lifetime, but in true Vaughan fashion it was a fantastic one. Their 1990 album Family Style featured the hit song ‘Tick Tock’ - written by both Vaughan brothers, but it was mainly Stevie’s wish for a better world. ‘Tick Tock’ is a a reminder that our time is short, and that our time is better spent leaving a better place for our children to inherit. Wonder if Stevie knew his time was limited and was expressing his hopes that he’d done his best to contribute to a better world. Family Style featuring ‘Tick Tock’ was released a month after Stevie’s tragic death, and a week before what would have been his 36th birthday. I love that Family Style serves as a really cool, heartfelt time capsule for Jimmie Vaughan! The clock eventually ran out for Stevie Ray Vaughan, but he definitely used his short time to help unify people as best he could. Check out the Vaughan brothers performing ‘Tick Tock’, it’ll really make you think!
Great reaction! Have you done Stevie Ray doing “Tin Pan Alley” with his friend Johnny Copeland? Deep Blues! You’ll really love Stevie’s voice on this one, zJohnny’s too! And the guitar work?? Heaven…
I don't know if you've heard of this band before. The band is called "ZZ Top", these band plays the blues/rock genre. Recommended song for this band to you, "got me under pressure", "legs", "la grange"
Yes! Anything from their older catalog is BADASS. Fool For Your Stockings, Waitin For the Bus/Jesus Just Left Chicago, Old Blue Jeans, My Head's in Mississippi. Pure Texas royalty, right next to SRV! 👌
Apples and oranges. When legendary dancer/actress Cyd Charise was asked to compare Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire, she had danced with both, apples and oranges were mentioned, and she said something to the effect of apples and oranges are both delicious. Wasn't Stevie and Jeff fantastic? Just mind blowing when I first watched this video. It's a shame they didn't get to do more collaborations together.
Hello Biss ! I 've just suscribed... I a french Guy, 65 years old... I've been watching your réactions since a few days, and I love them... All of them... SRV is one of the greatest guitare payer I 've ever heard, but he is not the only one... They are so much... You should try to listen to Jimi Hendrix, if you have time... Have a fine day...friendly...🥰
As a guitar player, I'd point out something about Jeff Healey that goes unnoticed. The tuning on the guitar is designed for the fret hand to be curved UNDER the neck, and onto the fretboard. We're all human. We all have our bones and joints in the same configuration. By playing OVER the fretboard that involves a whole different way to fret the notes. It brings a whole bunch of limitations, but also opens up possibilities you just couldn't do from under the neck. Not only that, but Jeff doesn't use a guitar strap, meaning that when he stands up, he has to use his picking hand wrist to hold the guitar in place while he plays. I'd imagine the back of his Strat has some sort of sticky / clingy coating, to help it stick to his body. It's bad enough to have a neck heavy guitar, where you need to support the weight of the neck with your fret hand, where you lose some dexterity in your fingers. RIP both Jeff and SRV.
Anytime I feel like I can finally play the blues, I watch this SRV/Jeff video. It makes me realize I'm not as good at guitar as I think I am 😂 Great reaction! 😃
I recently stumbled onto your channel of a Jinjer video. I have watched a few videos since and have become a subscriber. I’ve mentioned it on one of your other reactions and I’ll tell you again you remind me of my daughters, your about my youngest daughter‘s age. Seeing how the music literally takes you over brings me happiness knowing that great music will never die. My girls were just like you discovering and listening to all the different music I listen to. I’ve been a metalhead since the age of eight 1974, but I love all music and nothings better than the blues. These are two of the greatest guitarist of all time, and I personally agree you should never be forced or asked to pick a favorite.
Hello Bisscute just came across your channel tonight. Really enjoyed the reviews I watched. Your very good at this. I'm sure you have heard so many times but you are very beautiful. When you are really getting into a song and your smiling, you really light up the screen. I subscribed btw. All the best to you and your family. I heard you mention your mother when you were reviewing Careless Whisper. Cherish the times you have with family. I lost my Mother and Father in the past decade. I miss them very much. Ok then God Bless you.
I think that THIS was so cool, to see a cool, European chick loving some real deal southern TEXAS blues!, hell yeah, youd fit right in & love it at a backyard Texas BBQ , (or at a big party on a big open air patio at a downtown texas bar) jam session in the horrible southern summer sun in July (im not in texas, im a northerner whos been in the american south for a long time tho), but yeah, u were groovin’ to it....texas blues is the best, the spirit of it, u just lose yourself in the soul of the music...texas blues goes back well over 100 years...idk, i could just tell youd love a Texas party with an insane Texas blues band, it made me happy to see a european young person in a completely opposite musical ecosystem “getting” the blues to such a degree ...F yeah, great reaction!:):D
*I totally thought you spoke German! That's why was suggesting "Vienna Calling" by Falco so much. lol But you should still react it. Just, get the lyrics first and translate them lol. It's still a fun 80s song* 😁😁😁
Another great collaberation is Robert Plant( Led Zepplin and 74 years young) and Alison Krauss. Roberts voice seems to have got better with age and there are plenty of live performance videos to choose from. The song "Killing the Blues" is a good one to start with imho.
Hello Bisscute, Very nice review ! I suggest you to find out Dire Straits - Sultans of Swing (Alchemy live) certainly one of the best live perfomances ever ! It is a famous band from the late 70's I'm sure you'll like it
One can't see, the other can't read music. Either of them can blow the doors off a battleship. Together it's just pure love of music. If you don't feel this, get a therapist.
Good reactions, you might react to Heart "Stairway to Heaven" Led Zeppelin - Kennedy Center Honors, you won't regret it, it's fantastic. Greetings from Mallorca.
They loved playing together! And....... Not bad for a blind white boy....... Yeah and I thought you'd be bigger! Name that movie. That's impossible to choose who's better. Though Vaughn says Healey Isa better guitarist due to 1 skill level while be blind. Vaughn says he gets inspiration and feels like he's cheating being able to see. They're very similar sound and style at times.
Yeah well there is another SRV performance on David Sanborn's show where he's performing Crossfire with Hiram Bullock on Rhythm guitar which is really outstanding - hints of what might have been... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IxqSKdtFd7M.html
Ok, so... no one mentions the wardrobe for SRV. I can only imagine rolling around in a hat with a huge feather in it, and no one even seems to see it. Guy dresses like a pimp, but he owns it and no one can step to SRV.
Hello BISSCUTE REACT TO Diana Navarro THE SONG ' EL PERDÓN '.REACT TO MÓNICA NARANJO THE SONGS 'EY,SOBREVIVIRE, EUROPA,DESATAME'.REACT TO CAMILO SESTO THE SONG GETSEMANI LIVE 1977 IS AMAZING,THE SPANISH DIMASH OF THE YEARS 70.THANKS 🇪🇦🇪🇦🇪🇦🇪🇦🤘🤘🤘🤘👋👋👋👋👍👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏🙏
The great thing about these two is that each of them are the first to give honor to the other artists they play with. Not only are they genius's in their own right but they are/were also humble in letting you know that Want to share the stage and give honor to the ones they perform with. SRV in his interviews will always talk about his influences rather than himself. This is something we don't see much anymore... and it's always the great ones like these two that leave us too soon, why is that?!
Seen them perform together many times when all of us lived in Austin, Texas. You wouldn't believe how many great musicians would just sit around during and after concerts. SRV was one of the nicest guys I ever met. Did you know he has older brother that plays guitar ? His name is Jimmy Vaughn here's a song from one of his solo records. Boom Bapa Boom. He and Omar Kent Dykes are the ones that introduced me to SRV. Omar is also great musician. Buddy Guy, Meatloaf, lonesome Dave ,Willie Nelson, Ronnie Montrose and so many more all around area.
I was there, too. Alpine Valley. Robert Cray opened up, then Stevie played, then Clapton. I drove to Kentucky on Sunday, and Monday morning, I found out that Stevie was dead. 😵💫
You are right 100 percent! As al longtime musician, we never worried about who was "better", lol. We had mutual respect and loved to jam with other music lovers regardless!
Hi Biss! I grew up listening to these two fantastic guitar players but didn't know they got a chance to play together. So it was a first for me as well and loved it!
I was well aware of this song, but had never seen this performance. Incredible guitar playing. Life By The Drop is another great song by Stevie Ray Vaughn is you’re looking for another song of his to react to.
Hi, not your fault ofc, but I was hoping, just "honor" him by doing another performance, sooo glad you did 😊 p.s. one of his best= see the light live night music 1988, coontinue you're great reviews biss 👍👍
Jeff could play in any Roadhouse, anytime anywhere! Stevie Ray was just a completely insane guitar player but his killer vocals surprised a lotta people! Musical magical discovery mystery tour journey channel or whatever you said...what you said Bisscute!🎸🎤🔥🤘
Love it! Two legends on the same stage together. Tell me how this isn't a miracle. We're here WHEN we're here for a reason. I'm here right now to watch Miss Biss watch 2 miracles. ✌🏼
🐴Both men were amazing. But seeing you smile and love the music makes us love you even more. I can't tell you how much love we feel when you look so wonderful. Thank you for sharing your time and talent with us. Stay safe girl, we need you back.🐎💝
Love your channel, I’m an old bugger and love young people appreciating great music did you know Stevie’s brother is also a talented bluesman on a track called pipeline they play together and I mean “together”, yes, the same guitar at the same time!
Another more recent artist that is very much like these guys is Kenny Wayne Shepherd! You would also like blues traveler the song would Carolina blues!
Bisscute, please do a reaction to SRV doing the same song, Look At Little Sister, in which he breaks a guitar string. See how he handles that. You will enjoy, I guarantee!
This is an awesome performance. But you also need to watch Stevie's performance of this song on Austin City Limits. His broken string guitar change mid song will blow your mind.
Agreed! And not to mention Reece tearing up about three keyboards at once with only 2 hands! I love that performance. Stevie Ray didn't even need strings to play! 👌💯
GREAT JOB BISSCUTE!!!! ❤️ want to rock to the jazzy blues. .I'm happy you went back to a Jeff Healey and Stevie I tired to tell you he was blind but was too late cause I put a comment. It ok, thank you for this, be safe be well stay humble and kind. ❤️ love ❤️ ❤️ 😍 😍 😍 😍 youyouyou
