It was TRULY enjoyable seeing you watch that. I've been a guitar player since 85 and I had that same reaction years ago and it's the same every time i see it. Black dudes and chicks that see this for the first time have such a strong reaction because they were raised on music with soul and blues is black music and to see a white boy with that kinda soul is relateable. Live is the only way to go with Stevie! Eyes closed & away he goes lol Even his SOUNDCHECK is better than most others actual concerts!! Agree wholehearted...they are as one with Stevie channelling ....his voice was amazing too...try a song he wrote "Life without You - 9/21/1985 - Capitol Theatre, Passaic, NJ"....Amazingly good...but then i can honestly say i have never heard anything but perfection from SRV ....sadly taken way too early like Hendrix, Joplin and others... The suggestion Kenny Wayne Shepherd is his incarnation is going a bit far imo...watching his Voodoo Child was interesting to say the least....maybe you could check him out and see what you think....love ur reaction 🤟🏼

Not only was his band super talented, but they loved him and he loved them. He turned down the chance be the lead guitar on David Bowie's "Let's Dance" tour so he could continue to play with Chris and Tommy, even though they didn't have a record deal and were riding around in a busted up milk van. And even though he was the reason people came to see the band play, he insisted that everyone involved with the tour, including his roadie and tech when they finally started making enough money to have them, received the same pay that he did from every show. Legend.

Since you appreciate him, watch where he gets it with his mentor Albert King, the video of them jamming was recorded just as SRV was about to blow up, having released his first major album. You can see them playing & reminiscing about times past, with Mr King letting SRV know how proud he is of him. You will hear them play Texas Flood together with a lot of other old-school blues songs. You will soon notice, if you watch the whole session, is how often both of them incorporate riffs from Texas Flood in other songs, which was originally written by an Arkansas Bluesman by the name of Larry Davis around 1958. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4-apz26BfHY.html

I'm 63 years old and have been playing guitar from age 13 ... and when watch Stevie play ... it's like ... "WOW ... I don't even know what I'm doing playing guitar! Now please don't think I'm bragging... when I was 16 ... I taught myself to play the intro the "Johnny B. Good " behind my neck ... and did so at a couple of gigs I play at in the 70's... but it was just the "intro " to Johnny B. Good ... which was just about 2 minutes long ... and that's all I could play! Stevie's playing was "Super Human" ... like his hands and fingers were part of his guitar! Stevie Ray Vaughn... the GOAT ... period!

And that’s why you always watch live versions for SRV videos. John Mayer inducted Stevie to the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame and in his speech, John described watching Stevie is like watching “Rage without the anger” and I’ve always thought that is the perfect description of Stevie’s performances... EVERY single one of them! ❤️🔥💪🏽

Back in the earlier days of music artists were just that. They put their heart and souls into their music and playing sometimes for years without recognition. These days its not the artists but the studio technicians. Mixers and auto tune have replaced work at your craft musicians. Pretty faces and sellable packaging for the money and not the love of it. SRV would still play the same way if he was on a big stage or dimly lit dive bar stage.

You stop the music and chat when you want. I’m here to watch and hear your opinion on the video. Haters can go watch the video uninterrupted by themselves if that’s why they want. What’s the point of watching a reaction video if all you want to do is just watch the video? Love your work brother

I think a lot of people today make music for the wrong reason .whatever happened to garage bands learning with your mind instead of your brain

I'm 99.95% sure that is the reason music has changed SO MUCH in the industry. This greedy, self-serving 'monster' is the reason, yet it doesn't reason itself or bargain or feel anything...just like the BT1000 in The Terminator lol. I don't have any children, but I have quite a few niece/great-nieces and nephews from the 8-24 age range, so I'm pretty familiar with what's what. In listening to most tracks they ALL contain a 'hook' which is mixed to a rinse/repeat type of beat that anyone with the right software can create from their iPhone or laptop. The industry will then require the artist to make a video. With or without the artist's consent or know about the video will contain occultic signs, symbolism, propaganda, agendas, you name it! In the last 6 or 7 years, I've noticed that the majority of music videos are rife with symbology. If you know what to look for, and have the spiritual eyes to see, then you will surely see these things. Repetitious occurrences of this symbology are: black and white (esoteric symbol), and the b&w can be clothing, flooring like that of a b&w chessboard, triangles/pyramids, one eye symbolism, blood (rep sacrifice), pentagrams, or what sheeple refer to as "stars" have been popping up whether they are right side up or inverted. These are just a few I've noticed in MANY vids. Also, take notice of how many musicians shoot a music vid with them in a bathtub. it's not 'artistic expression'....lol...whether the tub is filled with water, milk, or blood; it's an actual occultic ritual denouncing YHWH/Christ. They are re-baptizing themselves and dedicating their life to the OG liar and deceiver Satan. Now with BET, MTV, and VH1 pretty much dead outlets for music videos internet platforms/social media are now the pushers and can reach many more at a breakneck rate. I mention all of this why? Well because these factors are just as important as the music itself. It's the best way for this monster of the industry to indoctrinate our youth with all of its symbolic esoteric garbage by using beauty, money, wealth, sex, designer items, exotic vehicles, etc. All of the things that are easy for the flesh to desire are cunningly packaged for any young one to selfishly admire. THE BEST way to expose anyone to these things is through entertainment be it music or movies especially in 2021. We have the technology to pass information at an almost immediate rate, therefore no one stands a chance unless they give themselves to a higher power.

I saw SRV live in '84, knew nothing about except he was supposed to be very good. I was devastated. It was a life changing experience. I bought a guitar the next day and wound up studying classical guitar, played for decades, and got good till I got arthritis 3 years ago. SRV is the man!
