Played this to my lovely daughter when she was born, and now today I'm playing it because she has left us for heaven, 1 year today. RIP my lovely girl, Love you so much.
Yvonne Dette I hate to say to people “I’m sorry for ur lose” cuz I’m feel like it makes people feel like no ones sorry and makes them sadder but , ur daughter is in a much better place now. It is sad when one loses their love ones, but one thing that we should remember is that they are now living in a much better life and place that they wouldn’t wanna come back❤️🕊
I had a little girl who was the most important and precious being of my life. Today she is 44. She is my first born and I love her very much. This song was played day and night. She is lovely !!! Thank you Lord for my baby girl.
I'm 45. And the little girl who was/is the most important being in MY life is 20. And this week she have birth to HER first child. And SHE is so lovely❤ My mother is 70, and I am her firstborn (and obviously a HE), but for my entire life she has always told about how this was her favorite song, and that whenever she would sing this song to me as a baby (guess it wasn't too hard for her to remix her own "isn't HE lovely" version) that I would "smiiiiiiiii-iiile"❤ It's beautiful thing to see the awakening of the type of love that can only come THROUGH having a child of your own, grow and come to life within MY own child... Thanks for giving this gem to the world Stevie💯💯💯 Because 1 week old, Lil Miss Charlie Elizabeth Price sure IS lovely... And I know my daughter Anna loves her the exact same way that I love HER. And that's a powerful thing. Love & light ❤
My father would play this song all the time when I was younger, I always thought it was about a love story, but he recently told me it was about the first born daughter of the singer... hearing It again and listening to the lyrics made me cry ahh I love you dad
respect to your father, he did a great job playing this song for you. the same thing happened to me - my dad advised me to listen "isnt she lovely" when I was just 12 and since then I like only good music :-)
Fun fact: I was 12 years old when i have uploaded this song! (I am now 19 years old , almost 20 years old) Still loving this song haha! Have a wonderful christmas and a prosperous new year! God bless you all!
when I was a baby my dad got all of the pictures of me in the hospital and made a slideshow with this song playing with the pictures on a cd. he passed away in may and just hearing this song brings back so many memories and it brings tears in my eyes everything I hear this song. I miss you daddy rest in peace 👼
+Lily Noobengoobler My mother had five kids and she frequently played this song in love for all of us. She passed away in October 2013 from cancer, and now I play it for her. If I ever have children, they will hear this song a lot!
Makes me depressed at just how many fathers are coming here to reminisce over the memories of their now passed daughters - it's unfair that it's always the child that's taken from the parents these days, instead of the peaceful goodbye from the parents to the child.
Bonnie and Such Have you ever gone to a cemetery with tombstones from the late 1800’s to to early 1900’s? Way too may children died very young. It’s not just these days.
I've cried every time I've heard this song throughout my entire life, and I don't even have a daughter. To me it's about the pure joy and miracle it is to just be alive, and how we all deserve this level of love and appreciation from ourselves and others.
My dad dedicated this song to me on my 15th bday. He surprised me at my Quincenerra and he came out dancing to this song and told me that he waited all these years to play this song for me. We danced to this song and he told me how much he loved me. I was blessed having him in my life for 30years. RIP Dad, you are always missed and never forgotten.❤
I choke up at this song. I don't know my bio dad but my grandpa raised me iny early childhood until he died. He used to sing me songs and we would watch the starts at night. Rest in peace dad :')
Wow! Times goes fast. Its about 7 years i have posted this video and i have almost got 15 million views! I am glad so many people are enjoying this song! Happy listening!!
When I was about 8 years old, we went with my dad to a store that sold electronics. He was going to buy a new stereo for our home, because he loved listening to his music very loud. At the store, he pulled off "Original Musiquarium I" and played it on the stereo he was trying. He searched for "Isn't She Lovely" and the song started playing out loud. He smiled at me as the store dependant wanted to turn down the volume but my dad just ignored him. Nowadays, this song brings me to tears every single time I listen to it. I love you and miss you every day, dad.
Played this for my daughter after she was born as I held her in the hospital while her mother slept. That was 21 years ago and this song still brings tears to my eyes when I hear it.
Truly a master of music and legend. So rare we have the chance to hear such wondrous music. His songs reach across racial and generational lines. These songs are true treasures.
Just sent this to my daughter. This song was playing on the way to the hospital to deliver by c-section. I'm almost in tears bcz I chose her name early in my pregnancy from a book of names in the mall and it said the name meant life. So imagine how emotional I am now to see that he says her name (same spelling) at 1:57 in the song and Life. You know how back in the day we made up words in songs. All these years I thought he said "like a Sahesion" is that even a word? LoL! Sounded good at the time. This was almost 30 years ago. My baby just had a birthday. Thank you for posting with the lyrics. I am truly touched right now.🙏
And this is the true definiton of the word "beatiful".He is blind but he know and he feels how beatiful his daughter. In these days we use "beatiful" words for someones body or facial beauty. We should learn it.Never do prejudice to anyone.
This week I became a grandfather. And i never thought that i would feel like i do now. I am overwhelmed with joy and i am so happy for my daughter and her man. Yes, she is lovely!
I dedicate this song to my lovely granddaugther Deva who has three days old. She came to our family like a sunshine in a rainy day so that we have been heaven blessed.
God Bless you & Monze. My 7 year-old grandson is autistic. It's a very mild form of autism and he continues to improve every day. I wish the same for your daughter.
I'm moved to tears. The passion in his voice singing about his just born daughter. I can't even imagine. When i have a child i'm just gonna listen to this song over and over again while holding my child in my arms and gazing down at them lovingly. I can't wait.
When my now 36 year old daughter was a baby I would hold her and dance around the living room to this song. Today I was with my twin grand-daughters and found this online. They're 15 months old, and we had so much fun dancing in the kitchen. Played it over and over, and when it stopped one walked up to the computer, pointed, and shook her little body. Parenting is so difficult at times, but children are a blessing!
@@insertcreativeusername1306 I dunno if this was meant as trolling or serious, but if you lost a daughter to abortion, yes it counts. I lost my baby girl due to complications in the womb and it'll never stop hurting. I've seen one too many guys standing outside of the abortion clinics in tears, pleading for the life of their unborn child for it not to count.
I havent checked on this in a while, I was asking the original commenter whether abortion counts because technically they are killing their own child with no other reason then them not wanting a child. Would you really be sad for someone losing their child when they made that decision conciously?
my daughter passed when she was 7 years old she was the highlight of my life i used to play this song all the time around her ever since she was a baby it helped me and my 5 daughters get through it because it reminded us so much of her this song hold a big place in my heart🤍
this is a beautiful story! I'm so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine any of my 12 daughters passing away and hearing this song ever again since it's our family song ever since i divorced their baby daddy 15 years ago🥺 You are so so strong keep it up sweetheart!❤️
@@samasalem5626 thank you!! i hope u find the love of your life that will forever stay with you and your beautiful daughters🥺god bless you and your daughters🙏🏻❤️
It's funny to me that people misunderstand this song. People think it's meant for a lover when it's meant for a baby girl. I hope that clears it up for some. It's a song from father to daughter. OMG!!! Thank you all for all the likes. I don’t think I’ve ever had so many.
My first grandchild Evelyn was born today. The most beautiful baby I’ve ever seen. I’m listening to this with tears running down my face and a heart full of joy. What an amazing and evocative song!
Reading all these comments right now and it's getting pretty emotional over here. I don't have a daughter of my own but may God bless all your daughters and sons. Have a wonderful day!
"Isn't she lovely Isn't she wonderful Isn't she precious Less than one minute old I never thought through love we'd be Making one as lovely as she But isn't she lovely made from love "
I was 6 years old when this came out. Always liked it. I never knew the song was about his daughter?! wow, puts the song into a whole new perspective. Kind of a tear jerky....
Isn't she lovely Isn't she wonderful Isn't she precious Less than one minute old I never thought through love we'd be Making one as lovely as she But isn't she lovely made from love Isn't she pretty Truly the angel's best Boy, I'm so happy We have been heaven blessed I can't believe what God has done Through us he's given life to one But isn't she lovely made from love Isn't she lovely Life and love are the same Life is Aisha The meaning of her name Londie, it could have not been done Without you who conceived the one That's so very lovely made from love
Currently holding my new born baby girl Thank you Stevie Wonder through out my life I wanted a sister a true best friend and now I got my heaven sent daughter a true blessing born on my mother’s birthday who is currently in a difficult stage in life couldn’t have asked for a more perfect miracle her spirits are soaring high as she awaits to meet her first grand daughter God is Great Thank you
I play this song every year for my daughter Reann birthday.. 27 years today .. I had the opportunity to dance to this song with my daughter Reann on her wedding day.. Love you Reann
my mam dad aren't even that old, my parents are 37 and 38 this November, 3rd and the 9th. also i came back across this comment by sheer chance of scrolling down whilst listening to this again, weird how you have a tendency to come around to everything again in your life, been happening to me a lot lately.

This song came on the radio the night my daughter was born while I was driving home from the hospital, after being there all day while my wife was in a difficult labor at 10 pm the Dr.'s decided it was time for a C-section birth, my heart sank and I prayed that everything was going to be ok. The Dr. asked if I wanted to scrub up and watch, I did and was so happy when they finally scooped the baby out.
Another classic from Mr Wonder, a true music genius in every sense of the word. You can hear his passion and excitement in this song. And that harmonica solo is one of the best in music history. Thank you for your musical brilliance, Mr Wonder.
Played this the day each of my girls were born, and every morning of their birthdays. Now I’m pregnant with the last of my little ladies and I can’t wait to keep the tradition going. I can’t wait to meet you Eden. I love you Angel & Ryleigh 💙💛💜

Guys, this is for people who want to sing along. Yes, there are lyrics on the screen, but what if the person doesn't know the song or needs a reference to sing to? What if the person wants to know the lyrics before they appear on screen? That's where this comment goes. I thank you random person who took the time to type the lyrics here.
Watching my baby girl of 35 years today Luchia born at day break .. and playing her this song ... bringing back those memories of holding her for the very first time ... we had so many adventures to look forward to ....and we are still having them ... x
This song brings all the emotions My precious Baby Girl Jada was born today she’s perfect💕💕 I feel so blessed to be her father the emotions are REAL 😥💗💗 Daddy loves you!!
I lost my baby at 5 months pregnant on December 2, 2019 and I sing this song to her while she's in heaven....I pray she can hear me. 👼🌈🌜🍇🌛 RIP Angel Grape Luna
My mom played this song as a surprise when my daughter was born. We're from Detroit too and my daughter was born in Detroit. It was so special to me and the nurses liked it. I was just playing it for my 3.5 year old beautiful daughter! How time flies now. This will always be so special to me now. Thanks mommy!
Just the thought of a black man singing about the joy of a new born baby girl and thanking God for the gift makes me want to cry in 2020. What has happened to us all?
Nevertheless there are many among this crazy world that are trying to imitate the GREAT TEACHER OTHERWISE you are one jehovah sees all such welcoming them to his side do good there is a large reward.. I for one am on your side here on earth the blue and green living planet God bless u child
One of the greatest songs ever written period. I mean the vocals are so huge. And than…and than…Stevie pulls off the insane “harp” aka harmonica solo. That harp solo is killer man.
@@rohithpadikkal7082 Nah, I think their name might be Aisha. That’s Stevie’s eldest daughter’s name and who the song was written after. I’m not sure tho, you’ll have to ask the OP.
I just found out a week ago im having a baby girl. So now i have an even better reason to like the song. I was blessed with a boy first and now a girl.
My family would play this song and use it to describe my mum. My mum was born with complications and miraculously able to survive. When she passed away when I was six My uncle made a dvd for me with almost all the photos the family had with her, it has the only voice recording of her alive. This song always reminds me of her and I always cry when I hear it, but I playnit as often as I can to remind myself of her. She passed In 2004 on new years day when I was 6 years old. I love you mum, I'll never stop loving you
Bro that's awesome! I dedicated this song to my late grandmother who passed recently! Gives me tears everytime! And at the same time it gives U joy! What a wonderful world this is!👍
This song popped in my head today. I don't know how or why because I definitely wasn't raised on his music. But I'm here enjoying this master piece. I love the older generation of artists. They were something special.
Hi flowery. I also thank our great Creator for the grandson he has given me. I hope that one day your daughter gives you grandchildren. They are the very BEST.
The greatest concert I ever attended --- and I was a child when my cousin and her two girlfriends took me to see the Beatles and Jackie DeShannon at the Boston Garden in 1964 --- was watching Stevie Wonder open for The Rolling Stones in 1972. Stevie was incredible! I still believe it was the single-best concert by any musician I'd ever attended. We sat first row from the stage, above the floor seats below us, so that we were stage level, slightly right. The crowd went crazy, and I still believe that Stevie so moved the crowd emotionally that it remains the single greatest concert that even played the Garden! I'm a senior citizen now, but THAT was the BEST!!!
This song it feels so happy. It just makes me appreciate life more and feel so loved knowing that my mom must've felt exactly like how the singer felt this when I was born. Happy mother's day ma!
A couple of months ago my dog of 12 years passed away. After taking him to the vet one last time to let him go, we stopped at my work to get food on the way back and this song was playing inside. I will always think of my dog and the great times I had with him whenever I hear this song now. RIP I love you and miss you every day
I was just sharing your experience with my daughter about how when she was born I went out into the waiting room where all the other fathers had been waiting for hours and hours and hours, and I only had to wait an hour and a half I held her and sang this song still almost favorite moments of my life. Love you Stevie
