Thank you for the beautiful music Stevie. Practicing ballroom dancing to your songs took us out of the streets in South Africa and introduced us to the great music. We love you
This was the first American music I heard. It was a wonderful voice and I loved listening to it❗️ The concerts in Japan are very precious. Thank you very much.
@@TreyMessiah95That’s the most foolish thing I’ve ever heard. “American” doesn’t mean “white” or whatever you’re insinuating. We’re all Americans. And you didn’t make the song. Stevie did so only he can decide who it’s for. I’m 100% sure he would not agree with you. Educate yourself while you still can, bro.
@@ArthurMrgan music is for everyone to listen to, but mr. wonder's songs are distinctly african american. im not black or white, but how mr wonder was treated was taught to us in first grade lol. it is deeply shameful for americans to claim black soul music, black jazz music as their own, these genres were pioneered solely through racial tensions and hate from all of america. he falls into the same category of music as mj, ray charles, louis armstrong.... these men all had to face extreme obstacles because of their race, and their resilience and individual experiences are definitely seen in the uplifting nature of their songs. music from their figures and those alike have a distinct and sensitive soul you wont find in any other type of music. to claim his music is just "american" after everything his fellow americans put him through is ridiculous. it was the black community that uplifted him and supported him, while most others hated black people due to their race. his music is definitely a part of black culture. not to say you cant listen to it, but by claiming his music is just "american" is outright ignoring the history of how america has treated him and his people. you people say black americans are also "americans", but they have been treated as such for less than a damn century. the civil rights movement occurred within mr. wonder's lifetime. America as a society has gone from hating and ostracizing these very same black people, to then claiming their music as american for their own advantage and pride. as an american, i will give credit to where it is due. and objectively, america definitely does not deserve any credit for the black community's rich culture and music. rather, it hindered so many of these artists solely because of their race. this music is a testament to the success the black community built for THEMSELVES, even while facing so much hate from all of america. drop the entitlement, its not part of your culture or mine, but it is a genre that was brought forth from the life of the black community. mr armstrong's guardian was formerly enslaved due to the american system, and im sure everyone in this thread claiming black music as american would also shamelessly claim "what a wonderful world" as part of american culture.

I was at this show,Stevie played Ribbons and changed the song to swing, then gave the whole band a solo,he took his solo last.I recorded the performance and never made 1 single copy.I would never want it to get in the wrong hands.I love Stevie and never would hurt him,I would love to give him the tapes. They don't have the solo section on youtube.

Lyrics: Call up, ring once, hang up the phone To let me know you made it home Don't want nothing to be wrong with part-time lover If she's with me, I'll blink the lights To let you know tonight's the night For me and you, my part-time lover We are undercover passion on the run Chasing love up against the sun We are strangers by day, lovers by night Knowing it's so wrong, but feeling so right If I'm with friends and we should meet Just pass me by, don't even speak Know the word's "discreet" with part-time lovers But if there's some emergency Have a male friend to ask for me So then she won't peek, it's really you, my part-time lover We are undercover passion on the run Chasing love up against the sun We are strangers by day, lovers by night Knowing it's so wrong, but feeling so right Da-da-da-da-da-da, da-da-da-da-da, da-da-da-da-pa-da-da-da (Part-time lovers) De-hee, da-pa-da-da-da-da, dadadadadadada, pa-da-da-da, pa-pa-da-pa-pa-pa-pa-da-da-da (Part-time lovers) We are undercover passion on the run, yeah Chasing love up against the sun We are strangers by day, lovers by night Knowing it's so wrong, but feeling so right I've got something that I must tell Last night someone rang our doorbell And it was not you, my part-time lover And then a man called our exchange But didn't want to leave his name I guess that two can play the game Of part-time lovers You and me, part-time lovers But, she and he, part-time lovers

Part-Time Lover by Stevie Wonder(1985) Call up, ring once, hang up the phone To let me know you made it home Don't want nothing to be wrong with part-time lover If she isn't with me I'll blink the lights To let you know tonight's the night 오늘 밤이 For me and you my part-time lover We are undercover passion on the run Chasing love up against the sun We are strangers by day, lovers by night Knowing it's so wrong, but feeling so right If I'm with friends and we should meet Just pass me by, don't even speak Know the word's 'discreet' with part-time lover But if there's some emergency Have a male friend to ask for me So that she won't peek it's really you my part-time lover I've got something that I must tell Last night someone rang our doorbell And it was not you my part-time lover And then a man called our exchange But didn't want to leave his name I guess that two can play the game of part-time lovers You and me, part-time lovers But, she and he, part-time lovers
