Rhythmicons Alright, you got me there. All three of them laid the groundwork for MJ, Prince and Stevie. However, I think it's safe to say that they raised the bar from that point, wouldn't you agree? :)
me too but it's not about being blind it's about how he changes the world and how he sees the truth like you said and how people get inspired by listening to his music
Stevie Wonder is an Angel like Michael!!! Stevie went to every funeral...he want to Luther's funeral as well !!! Miss u michael for the rest of our Life's
When Stevie asks Keith, one of the back singers, I realised what kind of talented people Stevie surrounds himself with!! You did an awesome job Keith!!
@5:58 it really hits you what Stevie's feeling at that moment. God bless you Stevie, Michael. We love ya. Thank you for posting this, I've never seen it until now.
stevue wonder i havev lots of respect for you by supporting and defending Michael Jackson and keeping he's legacy alive thank you from my heart we love by loving Michael Jackson
@mantaishere DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE that is my exact sentiment to the nth degree. He is my favorite artist PERIOD and i am vehemently irreligious at the same time. Many props for sharing this contradiction with me!
I love the fact that he always gives God praise. That's why he's so powerful. He ministers in the secular arena where there's a great need for hope, true love & faith. Stevie, my man!!!
@r0nes You are incorrect,it is the Rocktron Banshee Stevie is using, after watching Stevie's concert on dvd,I immediately went to Sam Ash & bought the same one.
Thank you for the education. Really. You taught me something I didn't know. I am just out here trying to reconnect with all the greats I have known over the years. Don't want to look back one day and say, 'What ever happened to...?' I learned my lesson the hard way. Pay homage while you have the chance.
@jpribbleNY1 Uhhh no Peter Made it popular in his Genre. A artist named Roger Troutman made the talkbox really well known as well so did Stevie. No one is ripping off anyone.
You're right. I didn't. tharunna88 straightened me out and I sincerely appreciate it. I don't want to let another great artist become misunderstood, especially by me. I have learned my lesson big time.
Shit! Now i'm crying! I lost it when he said "Michael i never can say goodbye" Keith John was str8 up blowin. Stevie was so over come with grief,he had to stop singing, hold his mike down,& kinda walk away. If anybody have the audio or video of my idol Stevie Wonder sing at my other idol's funeral (Rick James) i would love 2 see it or just hear it, I bet he threw down.
I have great respect for Stevie Wonder.....because he is a musician...with a haunting voice....but I expect melody from that voice...compose songs in good scales and variations...that makes music....I f he wants to go in to the History of music..he should think..like that...it is an opinion...
@sregnathan ::sigh::: I'm not even sure why you would want to spoil a beautiful, moving, heartbreaking tribute from one of the greatest musicians of our time to one of the greatest performers of our time, with such a pointless and preposterous comment. Maybe you cannot hear yourself above the GREATNESS you are confronted with right here.
csuflasher: I am really sorry! Sincerely. I did not mean to offend....I was just giving an opinion on the way the music was being made, not on the performer. I love Stevie Wonder. I want to hear his wonderful voice as I have always heard it, not in this new way that is foreign to me. Am I not understanding something? I really want to know how I offened you and make it right.
@sregnathan Maybe you don't understand how well known stevie wonder is, for the many songs he is known for, around the world. I sense troll too, but I guess if everyone else is. You're opinion, in my opnion, was poorly thought out and is, in reality, wrong. Facts prove otherwise. He has more than just one famous song, yeah? He has a recognisable tone. He's contributed many works to many genres and he has influenced many artists. If you look into his work, you see little evidence of a gimmick.210
Rhythmicons Dude Stevie 1st used it in 72', Frampton didn't acquire his until Heil gave him one in 74' but used it in 75'. Sly Stone and Shuggie Otis were using it back in the 60's. You're welcome for the history lesson...............but there have been different workings of these types of instruments since the late 30's
Rhythmicons Not trying to get in2 a kiddy match.....but u cant really hear some1s tone of speech through posts, so when u say things like that.....we can only read and go by what u write, not how u intended it 2 sound. But at least u're respectful and know a baronet when u c 1. Thanks!!!
@sregnathan Since u say that you are a musician, plz understand how important Stevie Wonder was,is & will always be 2 music! Ray Kurzweil said that the 1st weighted keys on the electronic keyboard (Kurzweil250) came from the mind of Stevie Wonder! He also said that synths reproducing authentic sounding instruments like pianos, organs, strings, drums also came from the mind of Stevie Wonder! Read the article on the Kurzweil Music Systems web site! U don't have a fuckin clue about Stevie Wonder!
Can't understand half of what he says. Could have just said it outright without the techno bologna. Don't understand why voices have to be manipulated in any way by artificial means.....either you got the pipes or you don't. Love Stevie, respect his love for Michael....just wish I could have been able to understand what he said. All it reminds me of is those tragic victims of throat surgery who must use the 'box' up to their throats to communicate. Don't smoke people.
