Same. My mother loved this kinda music. She always had either a Ray, Stevie, Al, Otis, Marvin, James, Michael, Aretha, Nina, Diana, Ella, Whitney vinyl playing on the weekends.
that bass playing is insane and i bet the bassist is using one finger too 1:40 Did you hear that bass line???? WOW, that's crazy!! Ive never seen Stevie dancing before.
Thank you,the Master musician , Stevie Wonder...Without Stevie, there could be no "Heaven is 10 million light years" song.... Stevie is GENIUS & that's a fact......
From 1967 to 71, there was tons of music that was close to, or on this unbelievably great level. I could easily name hundreds of songs. Since 1980, there hasn't been one. Whenever I say something like the above, people will say stop living in the past. There's great music today, too, but no one ever names it. Here are ten artists on this song's level: Hendrix, Aretha, Beatles, Stones, Simon and Garfunkel, Joe Cocker, The Doors, Jefferson Airplane, Joni Mitchell, and Chicago. Tell me one band from today that belongs on that list! And even if you could, that would only be the exception proving my point. I will never understand how music went from Stevie Wonder to Justin Bieber in 60 short years.
I'm 27 and Stevie is my hero since I was very little. I think he's the most pure talented artist to ever exist. I just ADORE him, his songs give me endless joy. I'm gonna sing this song in my cover band and I'm not sure if I want to do it because I have mad respect for this man and I don't think I would make him justice with my voice. OMG it's just IMPOSSIBLE to be as good as him, I guess it just comes natural.
Stevie wonder a sheer genius he's much loved goes beyond and above creativity a man that won a ton of Grammy and still going strong long live stevie wonder
Awesome! Truly the “eighth Wonder of the world”! Stevie jamming. .audience look dry I would've been up snapping my fingers.. Best Stevie Wonder song. The best. Most perfect. Flawless.
I love your music since I am a child. it was one of the few things that kept me alive during this time I can feel Love‘s around through your work of art Thank you heartfully ✌️❣️
My thoughts during this video, in order: 1) Great vocals - only Stevie can really sing this song properly. 2) The bass player has a flight to catch. 3) Stevie is taller than I realised. 4) Stevie is a great dancer! 5) There are a lot of stairs.
Come on Stevie release a new album for us please! ;) :D Ive never seen Stevie dancing before. Best Stevie Wonder song. The best. Most perfect. Flawless.
Stevie jamming. .audience look dry I would've been up snapping my fingers.. I love the song, but I’m also loving the beautiful fashion :) Signed Sealed Delivered I'm Yours is my favourite song from Stevie Wonder
So the beautiful-but-strong-but-handsome-but-intelligent so good Stevie Just doing what he does through his own voice and every 'backing lady' The ''Steve-ettes' or 'Wonder-ettes' ... whatever works for you I mean, do you see and feel exactly what the song does do?
LET NO ONE TELL YOU WHAT YOU CAN NOT DO. THE NAME OFF THE GAME IS TO TRY!! You will be surprised when you conquer the thing and do it!! Stevie Wonder among others continues to prove this: "Nothing beats a failure but a try; JUST DO IT!!
Don't know what's cooler: the bevy of swingin' Sistahs singing backup or the lapels on Stevie's poofy-sleeved suitcoat! I'm not choosing - win/win all around. I love it when he jumps up to get down - brings recollections of a youthful Little Stevie wowing the world w/that voice & his wailing harmonica.
2022 listening to this in awe of the perfect marriage of the LYRICS, MELODY AND ARRANGEMENT. Gods anointing GENUINELY flowed through this person/ "THE LITTLE WONDER"
April 27, 2022: Attended a concert in ABQ on June 15, 1972 with my boyfriend. Three years later, he was killed in a car crash in Aug 1975 a few months after completing his tour with the U.S. Marine Corp. {He was 23.} Stevie's music makes me sad now. John 3:16
Stevie Wonder is 8 yrs older than me. My grandparents house where I was raised was next door to my Grandpa's Cafe/juke joint.. I literally grew up in that Cafe. I was out there with my grandpa until he would close. From 1960 until the late 70s. Words can't describe the music and dancing the clothes and the class those teenagers in the 60s was like.. WOW!!
Have loved this tune since a kid growing up outside Detroit, but I never really paid much attention to that bass -- man, whoever that is, he's got it going on!
Well, there you have it! Proof that black people are born with the jive moves and rythms. Stevie has been blind since birth. He couldn't have seen any of the thousands of dancers using their groove. It's born in when you love music and rythm.
