Okay, so the backstory is that the entire rehearsal they had rehearsed with the band, but literally as Mrs. King introduced them Stevie at the last minute said that they were going to do the first half acapella (which they didn’t rehearse) so, for this they did a really great job. I’m appreciative

OMG. The first time I heard this song and listened to the lyrics, I wept. Truly is an introspective look on the outward beauty of the love one feels for God.

The way stevie snaps at the end of those rifts is simply amazing , he stayed on beat through the whole song , and take 6 being my favorite group i just have to say they definitely complimented eachother , thankyou for the upload😊
I hope that Stevie Wonder records a Gospel Album before he passes away, because through God, Stevie Wonder was able to achieve great things even after losing his vision.

Kinda wish that the band had sat down on this earlier, but this was so nice, especially the back half of this. Stevie is such an incredible performer, and with Take 6 laying out the melody for him to sing in, couldn't go wrong here. Just totally amazing!

Bravo. I'd never heard this song before tonight I heard it on Fisk University's radio station and thought it was a Stevie that "got by me", lol Luckily the announcer, Bob Baldwin, backannounced it! Uncharacteristic of many of today's radio DJs..Thanks' Bob.
Wait....there was actually a time when there was MUSIC on VH1??? I used to loved watching VH1 until they became CrapTV like their sister station! And side note of useless trivia about Coretta Scott King: I think she lived in Atlanta so long that she had to catch herself from almost saying V-103..an Atlanta R&B radio station. That made me chuckle.
Take 6 has 4 tenors, 2 first and 2 second, they are able to get really high notes, the fact is they obviously doesn't rehearsed that 'run' that Stevie improvised, so it's was out of time, what gave us the untuned sensation... but they can do it.

Dear RU-vid: Unblock Take 6 and Stevie, "Oh Thou That Tellest Good Tidings To Zion" from Handel's Messiah: A Soulful Celebration! If other music from that album is posted, then there's no reason why we should be denied them singing their souls out as we hear them do here. I respect them all, Stevie and all present and former members of the group (Cedric Dent, Meryvn Warren). They BRING IT each time. It's all about love, and I love what they do and how they do it.
