Stevo’s dad is so kind and so polite. A very patient teacher. The English language is not a phonetic language. It only has 26 alphabets but has 44 sounds or phonemes that can blend together to make different sounds to a word.
Stevo's father is fabulous. Please have him over again. Secondly, he's so authentic and natural. I like it very much. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts has several towns named after all those places that you mentioned. Great and genuine! Truly appreciative of your effort.
Stevo's dad seems so gentle and kind! I love seeing his interactions with Stevo and Faye. You all have lovely characters and personalities. Well done both for inviting him to do this video!
St. Denis and Beaulieu are definitely French names.... so they should be pronounced as "Saint Daan-Nee" and "Bow-Liuu".... but then of course the British would come up with their own way
This is exactly what I needed to watch! Thanks so much for saving me from countless embarrassments talking to people about places lol. And Mike is such a great teacher!
Thanks Uncle Mike, Stevo n Faye! It's really very interesting and helpful for people who are new comers in England! Thanks a lot and hope to learn more from you all!
To Faye - As the video is about pronunciation, I have to listen very carefully the correct pronunciation of various place names. As you know, the correct spelling of the noun of "pronounce" is "pronunciation" instead of "pronounciation". However, I heard that Faye pronounced a few times the word "pronunciation" wrongly as "pronounciation". This comment is intended for sharing experience rather than picking up inadvertent error.
is not just HK people , the Americans don’t know how to pronounce our words when it has cester inside a word .. like Leicester sq , Worcestershire , etc etc ..
