For the curious, the Genshin Impact reference was to a character named Xiao, who is titled "The Conqueror of Demons"and protects the people from demonic influences at the cost of his own physical and mental well-being. He's the least demonic thing about that game that promotes gambling to kids and names several of its characters after demon kings from the Ars Goetia.

The best insufferable liberal learning class I took was a gender studies class focusing on lgbt in pop culture, cause it taught me how much deep down hating and resenting children is fundamental to the American ethos. It shook me to the core, I don’t even think the teacher was aiming for that she was just telling the story of lgbt history and got on to the point of how obsessed Americans seem to be with “protecting” children in general, and how that isn’t really expressed in the same way in every other culture on the planet, it’s like this unique microcosm of American culture I never thought about. It ended up sending me down a rabbit hole that made me realize this. essentially children represent our unknowable future, and deep down that Protestant ethics that spawned American culture depends on an ideology of predestination, a fundamental contradiction to the real way children represent the future. It represents itself in obsessions with discipline and neurotic parenting. While there are some cultures in Asia that do have the hovering type of parenting because of their past they base their relationship on one of harmony whose parts are differentiated, great example being Confucianism. They do see a separate existence in a child, Americans don’t seem to, they see predestination.

If we need to put guns in schools, can we give them to the mural girl?

The specific complaints being voiced over the mural reminds me a hell of a lot like the moral panic over Pokemon back in the 90's, where various Pokemon were satanic, how "Gotta catch 'em all" was supposedly a Muslim prayer in reverse, how children being interested in a kid's game was actually idol worship.
