Today we were at the range again shooting the Steyr Mannlicher M1895 or M95 carbine chambered in 8X56r. This particular rifle was manufactured by Steyr and is one of three primary manufacturers. The design of this rifle is a straight pull bolt action. It was used by Austria/Hungray army from 1895-1918 and by many other countries between 1918-1949 fighting in over 16 wars including WWI, WWII and the Arab Israeli war of 1948.
