my dad had a couple of dkw jeeps back in the late 60's and early 70"s. 3 cylinder and 2 stroke. very cool cars. every morning you would remove the gas caps and attached by a chain was a bellows system in the fuel tank to mix the oil and gas.
I was a driver of this vehicle during my military service in the swiss alps, and I must say that this little devil had the similar capabilities like the horses there with the same name.
Lucky! I've wanted one since I was about 9. These days, if I ever manage to find one, I want to make it a micro-overlander. (I have a Kromag Puch (JCP Swinger 2, in the same red!) This video just made me subscribe!
My old boss owned the military version with hardtop (i think it was hardtop, might of been a canvas top been almost 20yrs since i seen it.) It was even street legal here in PA. I so wanted it, still the only one I've seen in person.
Nice to see anotherone is alive. Very very rare pathfinder model made for nordamerica. Today only a few numbers are left. I am from austria, not far away located from the place they were built original. I own also a steyr puch haflinger pathfinder model made 1972, found in texas and ship him back to austria. Restaurstion by myself. If you need some spare parts let me know. In austria there is a company, they deliver all parts you need for restauration. Than i can give you the contact. Good luck for the restauration.
