Pretty good information. 2 OZ per gal is more that twice you need. Label calls for 1oz (or less) and treating every 3 weeks. Also, Bifenthrin is very toxic to fish and aquatic life. Good luck with gnats, they are relentless. Most mosquitoes live below 10ft so that thing has plenty of power. Mavirk is a good choice if bees/pollinators are a concern. There are some good natural products like Essentria that you can use too but requires more applications. Read the label, more is not better. It just leads to more contamination and unintended kill of beneficial insects. Now, go kill them skeeters!
Good info man! I have been brushing up on skeeter control since I made this video... I had good luck with the bifenthrin and an insect growth regulator. Also tried some essential oils not too bad either. I never thought I’d say this but I’m ready for mosquito weather again😂 it’s been a cold wet winter here in NC
@@PaulsPrimeCuts I know this is old, but always read the pesticide label. It's literally federal law. I enjoyed the video, as I just bought this to replace my other fogger that is inconsistently reliable.
I’ve just discovered your channel recently. Love your vids man. I’ve been using that same fogger for 3 years now at the company I work for and I think you’re gonna love it. We also have a Makita fogger we use. The tank actually goes down your back so the weight is distributed more evenly and the shoulder straps are much more heavily padded then the stihl. Couple tips real quick. Be conscious of the wind cause the mist will fly back in your face if your not careful. Also be careful around flowers. Especially crepe myrtles, hydrangeas, etc cause I’ve gotten to close to them when they’re flowering and blown off some of the flowers. Doesn’t make customers very happy lol have fun bud!
Liters measurement on one side of the tank and gallons on the other side.....I have the little brother stihl to the 430 (sr200)and its that way on mine...just check.
The credits for the license May be hard to find. I was going to get aqua and ride away with my (L) turff and ornamentals license but they hardly offer the classes. Guy at the extension office in Raleigh told me I'd be better to take the class every time . Anyway maybe if you come to Raleigh I'll see you in one of the credit classes.
Hey man u ever get certified for mosquitoes? Just got my L&O and really wanting ti go get my mosquitoes, fertilization, then ghp. Wondering what all went into the mosquitos
Well the reason distances matter , because if you do this as a business like me you need for it to go at least 15 to 25 ft into trees small trees anything beyond that like webworm eastern tent caterpillar in 50 feet+ trees I will use the 200 gallon spray tank on my truck with a jd-9 gun,
That Hat you’re wearing along with that Blue Oval nullifies everything you said from 21 jump street..😂😂😂😂U could only do worse with a Dukie 15:16 on!!😂😂😂😂💩💩💩 JK, Mr. Tarheel. I am not cornfed so i went with the SR200.
Looks like it works well! One thing I use for mosquito control is an IGR to keep the ones that survive from breeding. Still only get a month or so before retreating
@@PaulsPrimeCuts yes sir! I buy it by the quart and it last several months. I have a pest control company and plan on Expanding after I retire from the FD this fall. I only have 6 yards I do a month with one guard and they swear by it and I do too.
@@PaulsPrimeCuts I would love to have one......and might have to get one once all of our vegetation starts to mature. I was amazed at how the sprayer will spray.
Picked up the same unit this spring... Project #DieMosquitoDie2020 has been in full effect around my house... The Mosquitos used to chase us away from the pool and inside the house in at dusk in Memphis last year... purchased the professional Mosquito from DoYouOwn and it's been great
Good video. Thumbs up. I like you demo'd all the attachments and did a real world distance test - all really helpful to see. Can you tell everyone how results have been, controlling the mosquitos? It looks like about a $850 investment (equipment and chemicals). If you're not a pro, and you're a homeowner, that is a pretty sizable expense. I sure hope there is a massive improvement in outdoor living for the price. Worth it, if it works.
Hi. I just got a Stihl SR 450. I was thinking to use it also as a leaf blower, BUT I was surprise that blow the leaf less than my ex backpack blower Husqvarna 350 BT which is 2,2 hp. Do you have any idea why ? Thank you
QUE CANTIDAD DE ACEITE SE USA PARA MEZCLA CON LA GASOLINA EN UN VIDEO VI DICE 25ML PERO EN EL MANUAL DICE 20ML POR LITRO QUISIERA SABER MI MAQUINA ES UN SR 430
Hey ppc , off subject but Im looking for mountainview seed in our area. Im about an hour from you. Needing only 5- 50 lb bags. Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
Hi can you do a video on the Stihl SR 450 mist blower and could you let us know if it come from the factory with the pressure pump already installed. Thank you I'll be happy to know I'm look to buy one 😊
Thanks for taking a boring subject "check out this new blower" and making it entertaining. I just purchased this machine and will be using it tomorrow. Appreciate your dry humour !
@@PaulsPrimeCuts If the nozzle is on "E," otherwise it varies depending on the flow rate. My 1/2 acre takes about 30-40 minutes with the white knob on 0.8.
My son recently bought a house that backs up to a pond or lake very similar to the one behind you. Do you know much about the how and why of it ? Is your's a retention pond, spring fed or for looks only? Also is the lake a good breeding ground for misqiutos?
A stream feeds it and I put a big spillway in the other end so the top is constantly skimming off.... plus it’s full of fish they will eat insects & larvae
Waterfront property! Like to see it from above if you have a drone camera. How deep is it? Is it all on your property. Who weedeats it around the edge when needed. My son's lake has a fountain in the middle that runs 24/7. You need to do a video on your's sometime.Like to know more about it. Appreciate the video today. There is money to be made for sure controlling misqiutos.
Steve Willey about 1 acre of the pond and the dam is mine ... it’s about 9 feet deep in the middle... it slopes down gradually..... I would like a fountain but a good one is pricey
I spit Miller lite all over my phone from your "reenactment." Good video and a badass machine you got there. I guess I need to find someone with a broken one so I can pick it up cheap and fix it lol.
Excellent review, got deer ticks from hell up here this year and this really helped narrow it down. Didn't even know about the attachments and seeing everything in action was super helpful. Very pricey, but compared to Dr visits, tick testing, bloodwork and catching a tick pathogen, it's a bargain. Thanks for making this!
I have one.I’d definitely break it out if I was gonna spray with it all day or something more high power .....it’s important I know but it’s not fun to wear in 100 degree weather
Good choice! The little stihl doesn't have the power to get penetration and proper coverage in dense foliage, wasted 400 on one. The big one has plenty of power. Not to mention you have to fill that small tank up too much.
@@PaulsPrimeCuts You will like it. Great for quick bagworm calls as well. Talstar and suspend polyzone are my go to's. (no wind restriction for suspend)
How you've all destroyed the natural areas on your properties and lawned it all!! Such a waste! Please allow nature to come back on your property. Lawns are a cancer in America. It is easy/fast to make woodlands into lawns, but the time it takes to bring back the natural ecosystem on a property takes a long time, especially when you want ~40-60foot trees back. But the review is nice. I also prefer Stihl in my business. Toro is nice.
@@AW-yv9sq I do mosquito spraying at my work, certified and everything. For PPE I use a 3M Dual Cartridge Respirator, I put one of those gator face mask under it, makes it more comfortable when your spraying for 10 hours lol. I wear a short sleeve shirt when it’s hot out with athletic arm sleeves to keep my arms covered. I then wear one of those fishing hats with the neck flap sun protector to keep the chemicals off my hair/neck. I noticed that the spray would get in my hair sometimes and I would sweat and it would drip into my eyes, would burn like hell but the hat stopped all that. Then your typical sunglasses that have the side protection on them. And finally chemical resistant gloves or any waterproof gloves. If you have any questions feel free to ask, I may be able to answer
