I love this song. I just lost my mom a month ago today. She was only 41, just shy of 42. She had been recovering from a heart and lung transplant for the last 18 months. My mom enjoyed reggae, and although she never knew Stick Figure (I didn’t know about him until 2018), I know she’d love his music. When she passed, she was fearless. She wasn’t scared, she wasn’t afraid, she was so at peace and went so gracefully. However, I just found this song very recently. Whenever I hear it, I feel like it’s a conversation between her and I. The first verse is her, second verse is me, and it continues that way throughout the song. I feel like it’s us having a conversation from Earth to Heaven. I miss her so much but this song gives me so much peace and it feels like we’re having a conversation. We’ll meet again one day, and on that day I’m going to show her this song and how it got me through life without having her physically here. How it was a song that I got to speak to her through. Thanks Stick Figure ❤️🙏🏼

Indialien Jones That's a cool thought. Aside from you continuing to mention racism, in order to present a supposedly more correct idea. As far as I'm concerned, they're both good ideas with a worthy goal. It was Bob's idea. Mainly, my point is that this sort of music does inspire feelings of peace and love in the listener, and I suspect it would do the same for many, who would listen with an open heart and mind.

I wasn't arguing with anyone, until some know-it-all came around dropping their absolute solution over my positive commentary. Now, I paid your perspective it's due credit when I stated that "they are both good ideas." Meaning Marley's and your's, equally. I only mentioned racism in order to present Marley's idea. So, we actually both did the same thing. In the future, you will start far fewer arguments, if you lead with some humility, rather than trying to show everyone that your idea is best. I've been lost many years. Mom's died years back, I became homeless and survived decades of drugs and violence of homeless life. I'm hearing this song for the first time today......my mom pulled me out of the darkness from the otherwise. Very rarely is there a song that does so much to the mind, body and spirit, in such a simple way, as Easy Runaway. I'm a dad with three kids, watching them grow in a world where we so often look elsewhere for answers. Maybe the answer is right in front of us. Don't focus on what's missing. Maybe just sit back and listen for a change.

I can relate to this song so much it's unbelievable! I've just gone through some issues i had but just couldn't figure out what they we're for so many years. Ganja helped me a lot to find and fix them. Tends to make people more open, i see. Then couple of very deep and meaningful conversations and i feel almost like reborn. @@Echelon_tactical I clicked on your name and saw you said you listen to death core, I used love that shit, through the eyes of the dead, all shall perish, btbam early on, prayer for cleansing (some older ones)… anyways I saw all them bands live, the best band I see live these days, is primus, don’t know if you gave them much of chance but check them out live, the guitarist was arguably part of creating death metal with possessed, some other bands I’ve been digging into lately, viagra boys, all them witch’s, lotus, polyphia, just some suggestions if your looking to expand out of the genre but still want some rawness.
