yes In terms of ps the tricks are: -Linkage involving twisted sonic, pass (idk kinda random) (learn simple things like this) -Neosonic -Thumbaround (her form on this one needs more power from the fingers, don't hold in the middle) -Charge (most basic and easy pen trick ever) -Palm Spin (The last two are standard drum tricks, not ps)
After slowing down the speed in settings I was able to make your tutorial useful to me. I'm not yet ready for the gothic fingernail paint, but i know myself well and when I want it bad enough i will go to work at it for hours. On the downside: I just gotta walk around with drumsticks in my back pocket all the time. I picked up a few gigs doing that so I don't mind the extra weight , except when seating my skinny ass in a car and forgetting I have my training sticks in my back pocket.
Very good techniques! I played drums for 30 years, but only learned the technique # 4. I congratulate you. Obviously I already subscribed to your channel.
Awesome! I've been looking for some new ones to apply to my playing. My friend Chris Frazier (Steve Vai/Whitesnake) always does the 'over the pointer finger' flip in his playing and during casual conversation. Was always curious about that one. Thanks!
that is amazing keep it up Im also in a Drumline at my old High school and all i would do is some stick twirling it is fun to kill some time but what you did was awesome keep it up
Wow your amazing at drumming, thank you so much for this lesson. I'm in percussion and I always dreamed of being this good. I hope I can be as good as you some day!!! Thanks :D :3
Is the band Shame Club your's? I like it a lot! Is there any way I can listen to more because I found one other song and a live performance here on youtube.
If you ever came to my high school you would show all the guys up on drumming and techniques, even me, and I'm the best snare drummer in our band. You are very good so keep doin' what you're doin
You must me Drum Corps trained? Not many people who play drums will learn these intricate tricks unless, an instructor has been Drum Corp trained. I give you "props," you're very talented and good.
I'm trying to learn the first one where you spin it through all of your fingers continuously but I just can't seem to get it!!! How long did it take you to get it down at full speed?
I agree! You ARE my favorite stick twirler too! Really like how you do it sloooowly too. Thanks so much! I STILL suck at it........maybe someday with ALOT of practice I'll get it.
I've practiced #4 (the "rock n roll" twirl) for years, never could get it right, also practiced the palm spin once in a while but the stick just flies out of my hand every time. I probably just don't have the patience to spend so much time to practice. You have very impressive skills there, I've never seen anybody do the rock n roll twirl that fast, you're incredible. How many hours of practice would you say it would take most drummers to learn that one?
i honestly don't ever sit down and practice many of them. it came very natural to me for some reason. Try spinning the stick in the opposite direction sometimes that helps. I spin my sticks counter clockwise unlike most people who spin it clockwise. give it a shot. might make a difference for you. :)
for the "rock and roll spin", keep your palm facing you, and use your pointer finger to keep the momentum. It looks sloppy if you move your wrist too much
I like the first spin a lot, you are so smooth and fast! I still could not quite pick it up. Maybe just a bit slower please..thank you so much....I want to get this and will keep trying
If you want to play like a god 1.Learn Heal-toe method, get a double pedal, do heal toe on both pedals. 2. learn a gravity blast mix them together... 3. then do these stick flips, also play a violin at the same time, then maybe drink coffee and read the morning newspaper, do this all while driving to work blindfolded while video taping and maybe some more cools stuff at the same time. finally upload to youtube, get 1 million views, your golden!
Perhaps. We are often responsible for maintaining the integrity of the band's showmanship, so tricks improve the show. On stage it can be impressive, but you are correct. On the album we cannot improve ourselves that much with tricks. Thnx.
I like this tricks, but please could you use an other color stick? Cause I couldn't see the fingers movements because it's white, idk of you get it XD. I've been trying to do the first one, but I just can't see how
