Not a bad first go mate, I've been specialising in cast iron for over 40 years. Just a couple of tips, don't over pre heat the item when using nickle, the process is called cold welding, you only need to pre heat so you don't shock the cast. Only run 99 nickle about an inch at a time, then peen it, then repeat, the idea is not to put too much heat into it when welding. The best way to cool is with lime, it doesn't cost much, and cools much slower. You're on the right track, I enjoyed your video. Cheers Southy
