Follow me on instagram! ;) / andrea.aschi First training test with antispin and Stiga Cybershape!! The setup: - Stiga Cybershape Carbon - Butterfly Tenergy 05 - Spinlab Vortex 2 (red sponge 1.7mm)
Buongiorno Andrea, ti toglierai belle soddisfazioni. Oggi ti ho visto in grande confidenza col nuovo Stiga e questa Vortex funziona bene. Molto bravo il tuo partner
Grazie Pablo!
Very nice! Low trajectory on the blocks but not much back spin (did you try this anti on your regular blade?). How did you manage no spin balls? BTW your opponent has a tremendous wrist, great feeling!
Hi Joachim, happy to hear from you again! As you noticed spinreversal is not the best (my carbonado setup has way better reversal) but the control and the ability to make blocks close to the net is interesting!! I will soon try an harder sponge 😉 Fast no spin balls are difficult to control with a blade with a such low throw. At the beginning i did a lot of mistakes. Then I started to have a bit of regularity holding the racket perpendicular to the table with 0 wrist motion and elbow down. (Like the block at 3:58, is a different block movement i'm experimenting). Need more training hours! 😁 bye
I don't play table tennis so don't know what I was suppose to be looking for but I did notice that the guy in the red shirt had a noisier bat. was that anything to do with the video?
Hi Nick!! The speed depends on the sponge. The red one is very slow!! (even if is thin) Super useful for short blocks as in the video. I will try vortex 2 topsheet with a faster/harder sponge because i'm looking for better spinreversal.
I played long time, also croatian 1st league, then i ended up in wheelchair and played long time with anti spin..you have to take the ball straight after it jumps up from table..but a good offensive player kicks your ass easy if you use it..its a good thing for people with disabilty, wheelchair players..but honestly every 2nd league pro kicks your ass if you use it..attack attack...
so you left the Neubauer? Could tell me why ? I find the ABS2 interesting but it would ask me a lot of work to replace the long pimple OX and it is also heavier.
I chose vortex because I wanted to try a different antispin on the new blade...but my official setup remains the one with ABS. The choice between anti and OX LP depends on the style you would like to have...anti it's more a passive rubber. With LP you have better attacking possibilities (in my opinion)
@@AndreaAschi Thanks, looking at your videos, I think we have almost the same style of game. I return with the backhand, block or defend depending on the speed of the opponent and I attack with the backhand on pushed balls as with the LP you can't do a lot of other things against this. But Lp are not annoying as before and are less regular too.
Complimenti Andrea!
I was waiting for this video :) The vortex 2 locks very nice on it How was it with the red sponge in 1.7mm? And how was the anti on the cybershape in general? It looks very slow and the ball drops close to the net
I hope the video did not disappoint your expectations! 😉 The red sponge in this case is good because cybershape is fast and with a low throw, so you need a very dampening sponge to be able to do slow blocks close to the net. The downside is spinreversal...weaker than my original setup (ABS/pink sponge). I think anti on this blade is definetly playable, but for beginners there are safer and cheaper blades to use with anti. I was interested in trying cybershape also for the forehand side. (Anti is not the only reason why i win matches😉) I need more training for fully undestand if this combo is better than my Carbonado one. 👍
Hi Benny! I tried the stiga cybershape with a TSP curl p-h (1.5mm) doing defense away from the table. Initially I had a little difficulty, then by adjusting the movement I was able to chop with decent regularity and a lot of backspin. The frame itself is pretty stiff so it's not ideal for that kind of playstyle but if you have a good sensibility you can definitely try it for a modern defense style. 😉
I would love to see a tutorial how to use the anti-spin rubber. ive just tried anti-spin but i dont find any good tutorial how to use it the right way. the basic hits and how to block high spin balls, fast balls and so on.
Absolutely! I would like to make a well-done tutorial and that would take me a long time to record and edit. I just have to find the right time to do it.
@@AndreaAschi Thank you, I will be patiently waiting, until then I will just continue watching your videos and trying to copy what you are doing since there is truly no proper anti-spin rubber tutorial out there. Much love from Bosnia!
I thank you for the support my friend! 🥰 If there is anything in particular that you would like me to cover in the tutorial let me know. I try to gather as many ideas as possible.
Ciao Paolo!
I like the way you mess up with your opponent with anti spin rubber on back hand. What is the thickness of your anti spin rubber and what's your forehand rubber ?
I have never seen an antispin player of such quality! What division are you in? Why is it that there aren’t top players using anti? Your opponent’s forehand topspin looks very cool. Subscribed and recommended.
Thank you Marton for your kind words!! :) I'm playing in the fifth Italian division this year. Antispin at top level is very rare because professional players knows how to play against it.
I usually see your videos and this Cybershape racket catches my attention (I would buy it if it weren't for the high price). Why don't you use it? Thanks for your videos.
Hi my friend, thanks for your support! :) I love the Stiga Cybershape, it's a fantastic offensive blade. The only thing holding me back from using it is that it is not the best blade for anti. 😉
@@AndreaAschi Thank you very much for answering. Why is it not adequate, for the weight or for its shape? Do you think Stiga will take out a suitable Cybershape model for anti? Thank you.
Waiting for this blade to become available in North America (Stiga says soon). I'm a long pips chop blocker and this thing might work well, though it might be too fast. Would also like to see it with Dr Neubauer ABS 2.5, as that is the antispin rubber used by a few high-level female defenders in Europe.
It depends...the blade is good but with BTY Super Anti you can't replicate what you saw in my video. You need an anti with frictionless surface. BTY Super Anti is grippy. 😉
Oh man, anti-spin? You turned the blade to the dark side! All jokes aside, I respect all playing styles, despite hate playing against anti-spin, long pimples and short pimples. Very interesting to see how anti-spin worked on the new Cyber blade.
@@AndreaAschi you turn this game into shit very well. Good luck in making antitennis with antitennis rubber. I tried long pips once and had no problem with beating my usualy tough oponents, but this playing style doesn't satisfy me even if I win.
@@aldaron555 many backward and primitive pseudo-athletes would like to impose their will and style on everyone. I tried vortex 1 once with a hard sponge so i'm not able to make you a good comparison. Vortex 2 topsheet is lighter and a little bit softer. it seemed to me that it has less spinreversal but better control, but maybe changing sponge changes everything. I need more time to understand fully this rubber! 😉
Ciao Marco!
@@AndreaAschi Cybershape is just a Blade nothing special. Like Carbonado or whatever. By the title I thought you compare different angles of the blocks and how to hold the racket to get most effective blocks. Like head down or held upwards. Or a comparison why especially this shape is good or bad for anti.
What is the interest of such a game ? Do they cover their shortcomings with overlays ? (spikes, antispins) Go to a coach and learn how to play, shame on you.
