Stihl cf3 Pro VS Echo Black Diamond VS Stihl X Line VS Oregon Gator Line VS Ugly Line 

I’ve only tried about a dozen trimmer lines, my 2 favorite are Rotary (Desert Extrusion) black vortex and Echo Black Diamond. In 0.105 they both cut extremely well and last a long time.

ECHO Black Diamond and STIHL CF3 pro are in my top 2 as well i have run them side by side the CF3 pro is louder than Black Diamond both do last a long time depending on what you cut with it Black Diamond does struggle in thick Johnson grass i plan to test the CF3 pro on the same grass i run STIHL and ECHO trimmers typically. I have 2 STIHL FS55Rs 1 FS70R and an ECHO SRM 2620.

I know you're brand biased. But call your local Echo dealer and ask them for a demo model of a new Echo T series. I was always a sthil user but my Fs131r kicked the bucket last week do to a cam gear failure (4 mix) and I wanted to get away from the 4 mix system but I wanted the same torque my 131r had. So after about of week of researching the best trimmers for my needs. I went today and Purchased a Echo 3020t from my local dealer. it honestly feels like I almost have double the power of my old 131r. I have tried to bog it all evening on thicker brush/thick weeds. I can't even get the thing to bog down. I broke the 0.95 alot on the saplings and stuff and when it ran out I put the 0.105 black dimond in it and it seemed to do alot better. my 131r also had a clutch failure awhile back (common problem) but that was fixed for free under warranty. The power of the Echo 3020t with the 2:1 gear ratio and the 0.105 line is insane. I highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed in it. it also came with a 6 year warranty too which is about unbeatable and you don't ever have to worry about the 4 mix system failures on the newer sthils.

My favourite was Husqvarna X Force TITANIUM. Unfortunately I can't find it anymore!! The Milwaukee line that comes with the brushcutter is pretty good.

I use the 105 black diamond. It's an absolute beast! Never used anything better

I've tested ECHO black diamond vs Stihl square( not x line). Similar durability byt on 45 square meters of long gras ECHO was 4.23s fast and STIHL 3.30s, yes, it was measured. On stihl fs 130, 1.9hp

Echo is the best in the market still in my opinion. I’ve been searching and trying everything I can get my hands on.

Totally agree with you, did a lot of testing myself and made a video on it as well. Nothing cuts quite as nice as that Black Diamond!

Love that black diamond line, it makes such a difference, especially in the smaller machines. Very tough line with the best cutting ability I've found.

I use arnold Xtreme trimmer line, I had very good luck with it. It lasts a lot longer than the oregon gator line cutting high grass along ditches, it seems like it is more forgiving if you hit a rock. the echo I am going to have to try it out. good video!!

Go by echo Black Diamond 105 . That 1 is the best👍

Stihl red with the lines in it .105 is really good in tall grass too.

I use a cheap Amazon no name .95 orange line it’s like 15 bucks for a big spool of it. It’s nothing special but works good lasts no more or less then the average line. But it’s the price for me I can get a big thing of it for like 15 or 18 bucks or I can pay almost 20 for a stihl doughnut

Ive been most impressed with the Husqvarrna Titanium Force in 0.105. gets through everything I put it in front up and I don't seem to bump as much

Redmax cable twist .095 is my favorite for weeds, grass upto 2ft. Taller grass, weeds need .105

Do you not Soak your trimmer line ? Some guys have a 3-5 gallon bucket and leak their line in a bucket of water all the time. Extends life like crazy 👍🇺🇸

Question, I’d like to go with a thick trimmer line for cutting some areas with dense weeds where I don’t need to use a 3 point blade…like Johnson grass thick stuff. 3 point blades are great but they take so much more effort than a 16” plus trimmer line swath. Do you think the cf3 pro in a .130 would do well? Or is it so rounded it would wrap around thick growth instead of cutting it? I have .155 cyclone line I used to use but I want to bump feed because I’m lazy lol and .130 line is as big as I can use in this 410x echo. The 535ls can use a t55x head that will wrap .155 line but it’s too under powered for it and most trimmer heads are junk that fit that line otherwise. Anyways what would be the best thick .130 line you think that would cut tough stemmed weeds and not tangle on them? Btw, I like all 3 main brands, for cemetery trimming I prefer the 525lst husky trimmer and vortex copperhead .095 twist. It’s a little softer than black diamond but it does well with concrete stones…softer string however tangles on tougher weeds. Thought about switching to black diamond .105 in my husky 535ls with t45x bump head. And try some cf3 130 in my echo 410x with speed feed. Sucks that echo has a m10 attachment and won’t fit my t55x head…I prefer the ball bearing bumper because still using my first one at cemetery last 3 years and it’s a 7 acre cemetery if that tells you how great those heads and trimmers are.
