I own the stihl RM248 (in fact I've owned 4 of these over the last 8 years - the Viking MB248 x2, the viking MB248T (with drive) and then my current RM248. I love it's smaller size, but it's rubbish in the wet IF the box is not cleaned out really well... Also the white flap comes off regular.. but hey ho I live with it and it's been a good mower in general. Thanks for the video
Try to get a demo of the 6 or 7 series. They are expensive but I find the build quality and bagging are great. Not tried the 248. If the flap is faulty I would speak to stihl as it may be a fault with the machine.
Great review mate. Great to hear about tools from those out there like yourself. You gotta try an Etesia out though - should be easy to demo through contacting them.
I have a bought etesia this year and is the best mower for wet grass tho not tried the stihl. Been a ex council work I have used all mowers and estesia can slot of punishment
I needed to test out this mower while on demonstration. That 2nd area is usually cut with the ferris 48 mulcher. The first area is a village hall which is cut and collect usually with a hayter. Thanks for watching.
In the commercial game you have to find ways to keep going in any weathers and the Stihl mowers allow for cutting and not making a mess as demonstrated here. Thanks for watching.
@@scottellwoodgardening287 you work longer days when it's dry that's the secret.and leave it when it's wet.im been running a gardening business since 2007 and that's what I do.
@@ianwilliamson2980not always feasible or practical. If you've got 5 days of work scheduled and it rains 3 you're gonna end up cutting wet grass. It's not gonna hurt the grass to mow it wet,but it will effect cut quality some
