July 25th 2024.. I dedicate this song to Edwin Sifuna and the ODM party...nyinyi wote ni Laaayaaasss 😅😅😅😅😅 you are in bed with the government of the day..despite how much Kenyans are crying
+tiras njoroge yeah it doesn't make any sense , Kenyans just like outside things I.e Nigerian , Tanzanian , Jamaican , South African , as much as these guys are producing good music , there's nothing like your own product , you take pride in that . same pride you get when Kenyan runners win marathons , and Javelin and Rugby and so on and so forth . Let us support our own first . Have allegiance to our products first and foremost and then other products secondary . We have some outstanding Music that shud be hitting millions but it's not . Support your own first Kenyans !
I came to realise this..the theme and mob mode resemble the song.."i ain't your Mama by Jlo"..what i imagined if miss wahu could have done this recently someone would have pointed of copying abroad stuffs🙄🙄🙄...oooh talents are here let just hug and appreciate such minds... December 2019
I might be a little bias, but us kenyan women are just gorgeous! I may have grown up in the states but I am still a kenyan woman and my roots are a huge part of who I am today. African women are so strong and beautiful. So very proud to be one.
Wahu and Nameless are legends.. I remember them starting out at Nairobi University..Never imagined just how much they would revolutionize the Kenyan entertainment scene
Dear Kenyans Wahu could represent your country internationally I wonder why her song has been so much underrated on you tube! Coz she is the best female kenyan vocalist indeed! And her swahili tune is pretty amazing!!!❤❤❤ Anyways We east africans should now support our own music cause as we see Nigerians are being terribly selfish and jealous day by day #❤ from #BONGO TZ
My Kiswahili is not the best and this is what I got from the song. For those who speak the language, please feel free to correct my mistakes. Also please don't be cruel, I am trying my best. Verse 1: I remember this one guy telling me My dear you know that you are my number one Little did I know that that there was a number two, number three, and number four (The world has things going on)-(this is a literal translation, I assume the English equivalent would be "the world is a strange place") These days I hear that he is a married man, a father of six But he is still playing games (the world is a strange place) The other day I saw him in a club in Nairobi with a 20-year-old His behavior is as before( I'm not sure what this means but all I know it's about his behavior) Chorus: Still a liar(still a liar) He's just a little older(still a liar) Age is not a problem(still a liar) He's a sugar daddy(still a liar) Verse 2: Mister, how come you're not staying in your home Read the newspaper Eat your wife's cooking or Go get wasted with your friends Break bones as if you still had teeth(there's probably another meaning to this but I'm not getting it) Instead of chasing after children Stop this silly shameful behavior Until he gets tired, until he says "game shot" My sister don't kid yourself His behavior is as before Chorus Verse 3: If you find one that loves you, hold on hold on Whose behavior makes you happy, hold on hold on One who is well respected My dear don't let go If you find one that loves you, hold on hold on Whose behavior makes you happy, hold on hold on One who is well respected My dear don't let go With all of your hands, hold on Don't let go, hold on Don't slip (literal definition but I think it means don't let go), hold on You better hold on, hold on With all of your hands, hold on Don't let go, hold on Don't slip, hold on my sister, hold on Chorus

"Ukipata anayekupenda, (shikilia, shikilia), mwenye tabia za kupendeza,( shikilia, shikilia,) mwenye heshima ya watu wote eeeh, my dear usiachilie eeh... Na mikono yote!(shikilia) Usiachilie! (shikilia), Usiteleze (shikilia), Dada shikilia wewe! (shikilia) The message in this song, cuts deep after all these years... 🥰
This song never gets old ever since 2012 when was completing my undergrad ten years later still a hit. I really admire this couple. Who else is here in 2022?
Don't understand the language but I love this song! Plus Kenyan women are beautiful! Never met a Kenyan woman in real life though. Maybe it's about time I took a trip back to motherland
I wonder why she no longer release music coz she was among the best female artist/singers in East Africa. Where as Uganda had Juliana n Iryn Namubiru, Kenya had wahu n Amani and Tanzania had Ray c n lady jadee. Those ladies were and still are great singers/ vocalists.
