Stonington -There are not many people on the coast of Maine who can say that they have lived and breathed lobster fishing as long as Andy Gove of Stonington. He has seen the market rise and fall from 10 cents a pound to 10 dollars a pound. He has fished during WWII, Vietnam, and the Iraq war. He has fished through storms and gales and early sheds and late ones. The great-grandfather has caught lobsters of all color, shape, size and distortion and won many lobster boat races. Each day, Gove gets up and goes back out to do what he knows and does best.
