R.I.P to Stevie Allen who plays Manky Franky , he passed away last year . Did you know he once was a contestant on Bargain Hunt and he used to work for The Scottish Ambulance Service . We also lost Jake D'Arcy who played Pete the Jakey in 2015 , the plder generation will remember him as the P.E teacher in Gregory's Girl . In 2013 we also lost Mary Riggans who was Isa's wee pal . She was also better known Susie Sweet in the kids show Balamory and Effie Macinnes in Take the High Road . Rest in peace to all three .
It’s not a case of “don’t buy a cheap car” it’s a case of don’t buy a Vauxhall, specially old Corsas, they are the ultimate trouble cars. Enjoying your SG reactions pal
I bought a car a couple of years ago and less than a week later I had a major seizure so wasn't able to drive until I was a year seizure free. I had to sell it. Luckily my mate bought it from me for what I paid for it.
Love the reactions can you react to Still Game live at Cottiers theatre its only Jack ,Victor and Winston and done in 1999 before the series started in 2002 , worth a watch
Dude it must be fate because just an hour ago I was thinking- should I just buy a cheap run around car to learn to drive with or would it end up costing me more than it's worth? And then this came on 😆
Public transport in Edinburgh is great and sort cheep. Last time I was on it it was £4 for a day ticket you can hope on and off as many times as you want. Mind when I visited my cousin in Oldham and it cost £10 for a single ticket I was like wtf you taking the piss
The last car I bought cost me 750, a Kia, had it for 6 years with just regular servicing and the usual brake replacements etc. Got it from a wee guy that has a backyard garage, great car well worth it.
The reason they charge £8000 for insurance is, they don't want your business. 18 year old lad in 1.6 Corsa = RTA + (probable) fatality. That's unfortunately the equation, but there are companies that will insure young people, with provisions. Don't forget, Jeremy Clarkson at the age of 35 or so was quoted £6000 fully comprehensive on a brand-new XR3i Escort in 1985, fair to say it was parked in the road in Central London, so things haven't changed that much. Although 6 grand in 1985 would buy you a flat.
Aye, Monday's are perfect after work. Good to unwind to your reaction to Still Game. Jesus, an eight grand quote for insurance on a Micra. Man that's ridiculous. Winston is my favourite character 100 per cent. Love them all but Winston is brilliant. Cheers Eddy!
Public transport where I live just outside Glasgow is garbage you need at least two buses to get anywhere unless youre going to Glasgow town centre it's self and even the areas that are half an hour car driving has little or none you can't get to a country park that's a half hour walk for a fit adult half of its closed down because they losing money but don't provide public transport not even in summer
I thought £5k insurance was a lot, I even looked at third party and it cost more, I mainly looked for if got a car after pass, I struggle to pass hazard part at centre but pass easy at home listening to 3 things at once, cycling for 15 years on road don't help improve me To add when hit 30yo it then drops to £2.5k my foster dad said the drop be after 25yo
Eyup, Eddie from Scott and Patsy in Sheffield. It just came to us while we were watching this video (we love your reactions to Still Game), have you seen or reacted to Blackadder with Rowen Atkinson (Mr Bean, Johnny English) & Tony Robinson (Time Team, Maid Marion & Her Merry Men) before? If not we highly recommend you check that out. It's a historical sitcom and we think you'd appreciate it. Keep up the content, mate. We love it.
