I am a Scot, and I have watched all the Still Game episodes till they are worn out - BUT - I so look forward to your reactions !! It's just like I am seeing them for the first time ! Easily the best sitcom of all times in my opinion and you are amaking it all happening again - Brillianr show ! and a brilliant reaction ! Please keep it up.
I always mind the episode where Rab played the lottery and picked the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, and Mary Doll berates him for being an idiot. Later when he’s watching the draw you hear the announcer say “And amazingly tonight’s lottery numbers are 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12” 😂
You were looking a bit baffled there by “scud book”, lol. To be “in the scud” is to be naked (like “in the nip”) so a “scud book” is a jazz mag, a nudie mag. Hope that helps! 🙂
You should check out Stanley Baxter's 'Parliamo Glasgow' (which is an absolute scream & Ricky Fulton's comedy shows. Especially when he does his Scottish Vicar Epilogues, where he keeps his face absolutely deadpan after some of his musings. Rab C Nesbitt is another. Incidentally, Dorothy Paul who plays Molly in one episode of Still Game, has appeared with all 3 of the Comedians mentioned. She's a good straight actress, as well as a good Comedy actress. She's been around for a long time too 😂😂
RIP the workers Sorry I read so much I read of a senior who napped and an apprenticeship young guy put senior in instead of check for tag for the one was meant to go, unsure if heard screams or not Another similar was as when power turns on it automatically shuts down so the high temperature isn't escaping and the guy cleaning it ended whacking a crowbar against the side
I've got a prepaid cremation, because I've got a medical condition that could cause problems. And I'm a Sheffield Wednesday fan.... So I'm also a suicide risk. 😂
I'm definitely getting cremated and want no one there. People can go have a gathering elsewhere if they want. I'll be deid! Fantastic episode, cheers Eddy!!
Another great Scottish comedy is Gary Tank Commander . Scotland has a lot of great comedies including Rab C Nesbit , City LImits , Two Doors Down , Bob Servant and many more . Lots of comedy dramas like Waterloo Road , Tutti Fruitti & Your Cheatin' Heart .
Forced meat is when the sketetal remains are forced through a die to get every bit of meat from the bones. McChicken nuggets are an example, although Mickey D's denies this. Cheap processed ham is another one.
forced meat is the shitiest of shit meat . Like chicken kneecaps and suchlike mechanically forced through a sieve like machine with other animal parts . that`s where chicken nuggets and hotdogs etc come from
Rab C. Nesbitt is nothing compared to Still Game. So inferior by comparison. It was good at the time. But no one could ever have said it was the best comedy in the last 20 years, like they say with Still Game. Plus it leaves you feeling dirty and depressed.
I must know all these word for word. But i now enjoy watching new viewers reaction videos. The Yanks especially love it. Didn't think a Paddy Brummie wouldn't have seen it before lol. Force meat is the really cheap ground meat. A very poor quality 'mince' is the only way to describe it.
Cremation all the way for me. I think it's a bit selfish to expect your own plot of land to sit there forever. We'll be building on graveyards in 50 years anyway, churches are closing down all the time.
I'd be curious to see if we would, well, in Scotland, anyway - we have really strict laws about building on certain land, not to mention the laws which protect the dignity of the dead. I suspect this wouldn't be permitted for the same reasons we do not and cannot build on battlefields. I'm sure it's 50+ years for the grave-robbing protection powers over individual plots to pass to Archaeological legislation protection, which cover areas. I'm positive, even when certain bodies are exhumed, you must, by law, have an Archaeologist present. My Dad's a stonemason and any time he was fetching contemporary stone, if he had to dig further than 0.5 metres, he had to have an Archaeologist oversee the excavation. I met some really interesting people and an Archaeologist's work is far more varied than you'd imagine, although, I'm lowkey bummed there's no real Lara Croft vibes....More...The Big Bang Theory 😂😂 😂😂
Definitely a product of its time where £300 in a week seems like a fortune! Incidentally, one of my favourite episodes! Cauld definitely takes the top spot though!
This episode winds me up a little, himself charges 6% interest and says it’s the same as banks charge but in fact bank interest rates are annual, not weekly…that is actually a rip off and a major writing error in my opinion.
@@Eddycheeee thinking of touring round Ireland once I pass my driving test on may. Always wanted to visit. Love everything about the Irish. Like a home from home.
There's another clip of Ricky Fulton from back in late 1969/early 1970, where he orders something to eat in a Railway station Canteen, & then throws the plate at a picture of Jimmy Saville. At the time, Saville was the face of British Rail & their slogan was, 'Let the Train take the strain'. Obviously, as Ricky's character was an irate Railway passenger, he wasn't happy at having his journey delayed by about 9 hours. So he let out his anger against the picture of Jimmy Saville. Whether he knew/had heard the stories at the time of recording, of what Saville was like even back then as added disgust when he threw the plate at Saville's picture, we don't know
Forced meat is basically what you get when you put the animal carcus into a hydraulic press and crush the bones until everything has been extracted from the carcus. A bit like those car crushers you get in scrap yards.
£500 a week pension Eddy? Where's this? I'll have to move there. And what are you referring to about £400 going towards funeral something? I don't know about that. Them buried in the sand is like a homage to Merry Christmas, Mr Lawrence. And try Red Kola too if you can find it. Lovely.
Been watching for weeks and realised just now I wasn’t subbed. My bad! Absolutely love these videos 😂 big love from Scotland mate your reactions are class 😂😂
