Thanks a lot for your kind words! Marco is one of my top 5 guitar player and it's quite a honour for me to have his "blees" in my comments! Talking about your question: there's no a particular strategy that goes beyond the pure and simple dedication, love for music and constant seek for a better playing even if you are an experienced player! try to focus over small, simple things sqeezing the best out of them... even a complex piece of music can be split apart in many little section from which you can learn an universe of concepts!

Don't think it's slower... Marco sent me this backing track years ago and it's the same he uses for clinics.
