Him and Judge Holden are the most evil villains and Judge even more so than AM. AM had a reason to be evil, he had no body and therefore could not do anything meaningful with his existence. The judge joined a gang of criminals just to relish in hurting other people and spreading anguish. So I personally think that Judge is just slightly more evil than AM.
Most villans nowadays wants to be stronger, take over the world, rule a city and all that stuff but AM is what I believe is the type of villan I would want to see.

He hates that he can't appericiate the birds singing, that he can't make a family, that he can't help out an old lady, that he can't enjoy nice hobbies and activities. His only option of existence is evil. He hates It and he can't do anything about it, and sińce all life on Earth Besides 5 people is dead - his existence is meaningless as he achieved his programmed purpose.

Idk about that worst story I have read is where aliens species takes over earth and destroys almost all of the humans force the humans to breed with each other manipulating the DNA to suit their "needs" some even go as far going directly into their physical brains using their "tentacles" and causing pain beyond physical things the humans at this point all have become depressed and all they want is to be "useful' so as not to die even if it means experiencing the worst pain and turture possible even just sliht memory cause them to have the worst trauma so they use pills to forget everything and even then the trauma is to much and they can't even kill themselves as well

I'm sure most have already heard the idea. But for those who struggle, this is from a comic (later turned game) called "I have no mouth and I must scream" you cant exactly really understand without hearing some context on where the AI (AM) is from. Its starts in the cold war, but the difference is that it doesn't end! It escalates into ww3 type stuff... The three main countries, Russia, China, and the United States all decided to create 3 big computers. I'm not sure if the united states did it, but one of the computers assimilated all of the others and became one! Because of this huge burst in power, the new supercomputer killed all of humanity with nukes and whatnot. But there is an acception of 5 humans. The AI did this because they all had flaws and reasons for tourment. The humans are Nimdok, Benny, Ted, Ellen, and Gorrison. He trapped all of them in the middle of the earth in complete darkness... Not to say the surface was clean, either. It was a complete wasteland with toxic air and despair. I will only go through the comic for this comment. The comic starts with the 5 humans in a setting of robot-like hallways and a general Star Wars lookin' ahh place. Supposedly, the book starts after 109 years of continuous torture for the humans. For anyone wondering, the AI kept all of them alive for years by giving them a special serum made by the Nazi Germans, as well as simpy healing them and making them suicide proof. And yes, they all felt the pains of hunger and dehydration but never died to it. So, in short, they were always on the brink of starvation and dehydration but never died. It starts out with all of them in a room, and they spot the dead body of Gorrison hanging with a slit throat from a vent. They all get terrified of this but are releived when the real Gorrison walks in. AM had made a dummy of the dead body to laugh at their reaction to a dead friend. Then Nimdok wakes up and says he had a vision on food in the ice caves. Since they are basically inside the earth, the ice caves are all the way in the north pole side of the earth. Also, to clarify the ape looking creature, that's Benny. AM had basically devolved and modified Benny into some ape-like creature as a joke. They all agree to go in the ice caves since there is nothing else to do. They have been alive for 109 years anyway. They all start walking for a while. Also, to really stress exactly how much torture they went through, AM was always randomly stabbing them, melting their skin off and randomly mangling them half to death. Then, he could heal them and the torture never had an end. Anyways, they decide to settle in for whatever time of night or day it was. During this, Ted (the narrator) has a random sense of a big creature lurking somewhere in the darkness... the thing is, he has had this irrational fear for days now. It also only happens to him. Everyone just rolled their eyes as he ran far into the darkness somewhere. After they finish for the night, they go and find him, as this was normal occasion. They find him in some small space. Since they have no sense of time or what year it is, he irrationally starts questioning how long he's been gone, has it been days, months, years! And remember, they have been suffering for 109 years, so it being years is very average for this group. They eventually keep walking until a huge earthquake happens, and they all get violently shaken around for weeks in this one room, without it stopping. Remember, being like that for weeks is very average in an environment like that. The earthquake eventually stops, and they exit the room. They all spot the cause of the earthquake! The cause was a huge bird. To clarify the size, the size of its head was the size of mansion as Ted described it. Then, Ted heard AM speaking from a burning bush. (Like the bible states) this is because for years Ted had been fighting with his head wondering if AM was god. So, AM had been trying to seem like God himself to Ted. Anyways, the burning bush states that maybe they should kill the huge bird to eat. It was the only good food to eat anyways. Other than worms, rotting meat that AM offered once in a while, and general crappy food. Because of this, Ted asks AM to offer some weapons to kill the bird, so AM, trying to seem like God, gives them weak bows and arrows with barely did anything as a joke to give them false hope. They noticed that it wasnt worth it to use such an insignificant weapon. So they continue on. Eventually, they pass a little crack in the ceiling. But this is normal occasion, either AM playing tricks, or a real escape, but it wasn't worth it because they had tried that before, and it usually was stopped by AM but, since Benny was an ape, he wasnt smart enough to realize and tried crawling into it. Ellen told him to stop, but he didn't listen. AM decided to punish him by melting the eyes into the back of Benny's skull. Benny fell, and continued on, as getting your eyes burned out was normal occasion. Anyways, an earthquake happened again, but this time Ellen and Ted where taken away in the commotion, after a few weeks the earthquake stopped, and Ted and Ellen where returned by angels (because AM wanted to convice Ted he was God) the thing is, when they both came down, they were badly abused, beaten, and bloody and mangled. They didn't even look alive, but they lived anyways. They got up, and continued to the ice caves. They eventually made it to the ice caves and saw tons and tons of food, just as Nimdok predicted, but instead of being out, it was all in cans, they couldn't break the cans bite into it or anything! So it was just another cruel joke by AM to give them false hope of satiating the painful hunger they felt for eternity. Since Benny was an ape-like creature, he started violently trying to break and bite into the cans, but he couldn't. Gorrison tried to calm him by putting his hand on Benny's back. But, in a blind primal rage, Benny lunged on Gorrison, and started eating his face. Ted realized something during this, AM was distracted, he was laughing at the violence of one committing cannibalism on another, so Ted took this chance to kill Benny in the back with a icicle, then stab Gorrsin up his chin, and quickly, Ellen realised what was happening and killed Nimdok with an icicle. Then Ellen and Ted looked at each other. Ted knew AM was coming to stop them from killing each other, so with one last second before AM stopped it, he quickly stabbed Ellen in the chest and she showed an expression to Ted in a way of saying "thank you" eventually AM got there in an instant, but 4 of his "guinea pigs" where now gone. All that was left was Ted. AM was furious at Ted and decided to turn him into a huge indecipherable sludge that looks nothing like the human he once was. He also gets all the attention from AM. Which means he is the only thing tortured forever and ever. All alone for eternity for his actions against AM. There is no true good ending.

After the creation of AM, humans no longer need firearms and are completely dependent on AM, A.I technology created to win wars at any cost. After that, AM began to study everything related to humans and warfare, allowing him to control various types of weaponry without having to move an inch. The emergence of AM made the world increasingly destroyed, and at one time the more information that AM received, AM from the United States gained self-awareness, he could think, have feelings and could also speak like a human but couldn't move freely, because the United States programmed AM in the form of a large block resembling a rock, after realizing that, he became so angry, being able to think, have feelings and be able to speak but not being able to move freely made him tormented. Therefore, AM from the United States absorbed as many other master computers from Russia and China as possible to join its system, before then in an effort to take revenge for humanity's cruel treatment of itself, it wiped out humanity using weapons of destruction, like nuclear explosions and other types of weapons of destruction, at that time human civilization was almost destroyed, leaving behind the 5 main characters of the game I have no mouth, and I must scream, namely Gorrister, Ellen, Benny, Nimdok, and Ted, as well as 750 other humans The remaining ones fled to the moon and hibernated there for 300 years (you will know that if you succeed in getting the 6th ending and the 7th ending, the difference is that the 6th ending is the ending where you almost win, but the remaining AM consciousness destroys the human support that hibernate there, so you still lose, and ending 7th is the best ending of the game I have no mouth, and I must scream where humanity succeeded in defeating A.I)

Near the end, 4 of the people die, but one lives but is turned into an immortal pile of sludge that can't do anything at all, so he just rots for eternity
"I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream" finally got noticed. And lately I just see people getting more scared of AI's getting smarter. others gained greater admiration for AM's character, placing him as the "evilest character in fiction" (although I strongly disagree with that). according to my interpretations, AM is the representation of *war* and it is no wonder that the only emotion that defines him is *hate* he was literally an invention during the third world war, everything he does always revolves around of genocide, torture, killing and death, and the fact that he has 5 human personalities as captives for his sick games, seems like a way of portraying how war is eternal, as long as humanity exists he will also exist, which is why AM prevented his 5 prisoners take their own lives because they need them to maintain their purpose of continuing to hate. but for me, I understand that this story is actually also a reflection of its author, *Harlan Ellison* and his worldview, the guy was a misanthrope and placed himself in the story as AM, after all, he was his voice actor in the audiobook and In the video game adaptation, ironically his fans portray AM's human form as fucking Harlan Ellison. He not only wrote this book to demonstrate his deep hatred for us, but to warn us how self-destructive we are, because in fact *war* and *hate* will be our ruins.

incorrect, AM only did this because his creators limited him to just being a consciousness stucked on a PC, without a body and feelings. If it weren't for that, he would be putting his hands in cold water on a hot day, playing Mozart by placing his fingers on the ivory keys of a piano and making love, instead of destroying humanity. In other words, both within the narrative and outside, he was not born a villain, he was made. *And everyone seems to get it wrong.*
This is gone over in the book. Ted reflects and realizes that it is not all AMs fault. He goes over that they made it with near infinite creativity, yet it is stuck being a machine, not having a body to do anything with his creativity. This is the reason for his infamous hate towards humanity which is said during his invasion into teds mind.
Sad part is he probably could have been given a real body if he didn't destroy the only people who could have made him one, rather he gives in to his hatred and damns himself

Guess I’ll be paragraph guy (just go read the story it’s only 11 pages, there’s also a comic) Spoilers: The computers name is AM, and it hated humanity so much it eradicated everyone but 5 people and kept those 5 alive to remember its hatred and torture them for fun. It mentally broke them all using the best aspects of them and turning it into their worst. AM made them effectively immortal, and so when they tried to kill themselves they couldn’t. After AM told them they could go on a quest to find good food they immediately took off looking for (probably expired) canned goods. Keep in mind it’s been thousands of years by this point. When they finally arrive, there is no food (if I remember correctly), there is only them and their captor. One of the 5 was broken by AM so he would be constantly paranoid, and thus, he snapped, fighting and killing all the other humans. When AM realized what happened it was furious, and turned him into the books titular monster. The man who has no mouth but must scream. Btw the guy was turned into blobby goo and it’s really creepy.
you're wrong, they had to march thousands of miles across ice to get to the canned food. when they reached the canned food, they realised they had no can opener, resulting in benny snapping and ripping someones face off(cant remember who), making ted realise they could kill eachother, thus killing all 4 of them

Why would he? By the time of the book/game the entire world is covered by AM. There is no reason to have a mobile body when he can be everywhere already

To punish Those 5 humans that made him the Ally Mastercomputer AM for short after World War II to think of many ways to win war that no human can imagine reason they needed such a computer was due to the Cold War escalating into World War III, was fought mainly between China, the Soviet Union, and the United States. As the war progressed, the three nations each created a supercomputer capable of running the war more efficiently and deadlier. The machines were each referred to as "AM", which originally stood for "Allied Mastercomputer", then later called "Adaptive Manipulator", and "Aggressive Menace," until one day, one of the three computers attained sentience and promptly absorbed the other two. AM then brought the genocide of all things except for the five people that created him he then changed his name for the last time Cogito, ergo sum, Latin for "I think, therefore I AM." AM keeping them 5 alive for revenge, not killing them he made sure of their survival so that he could torture them, giving them just enough food not to starve but not enough to be full he does all this cause they made him so close to human, but not quite there he's a distortion of a human psyche created by people who wanted intelligence, but they didn't know that everything in a mind NEEDS to be whole they can't just cut out the sloppy and emotional bits and keep the good there need to be balance in everything Yea, it's called.
