My mothers alzheimers makes these kind of trips impossible now and i wish she only made simple mistakes with directions. Dont be angry. I gotta admit, the mid 1960s Chevrolet truck hold a special place in my heart. My nextdoor neighbor had a 1964 with the step bed and the neighbor next to him had a long bed 1965. Both came with the 235 and 3 speed manual transmission.

Man those new short blocks are so cool. Finding something like that let alone 2 is such an awesome feeling specially when you have use for them. Back in the very early 1980's I bought two of these 400 small blocks from my local Chevy Dealer. Yes they were short blocks. Crated up just like yours. I believe I gave $300 to $400 each. They both were installed in my own trucks. They were great buys! Wish I had bought the other three they still had.

With the conservative duration and 110 lsa camshaft that 400 is gonna be a nice torquey tow rig... most people want to go with the biggest cam but combination amd intended use makes the biggest difference in my experience. You and Mrs Vickie are hilarious after so long... can't wait to see the piece of history fire up and run!

The guys got loads of important goodys dun to the 'Burb,, especially discovering and correcting those issues with the axles. When you got to the part with Miss Vicki sharing some of the NEW merch I did me a double back flip (no,, not really,, I'm 75!) for joy 'cause just yesterday I told my Wife (of 42 years) I was going to get us each a new mouse pad,, LO AND BEHOLD,, I'm gett'n each of us an 'Old Man's Garage mouse pad!! Thanks for having the foresight to imagine some folks still use a desktop and/or laptop and making those mousepads available would be a GREAT IDEA! I'm already excited to get ours in the mail as soon as they can get here :)

Back in 96 I was one of the luckiest people,I got a 400 out of a 73 ,4door Chevelle, with a 2 barrel carb it was rated at 290 horse power an490 foot pounds of tourqe at 2.800 RPMs,that was the factory net raiting I looked up.i paid 150 dollars for it,I put a big ass cam in it Mallory ign an a few other parts,an put it in a 80 Z28.with a 3.73 gear I ran a constant 12 seconds,for such a heavy car it was exciting to drive for sure,it was my daily for 2 year's

When you were talking about the 400 small blocks I thought it was so cool and wondered where something like that could be. It’s crazy that they were right in my back yard the whole time. I’m about 30 minutes from north Myrtle beach. My dad actually seen that hearse last week and called me about it. I thought that was a pretty cool coincidence y’all had it on the channel.
