The 81s in that Bicentenary livery looked so amazing. I think around then was when my mum got sick of Saturday afternoon drives from Mortdale to Chullora so I could see them 😅
Hi Nick, thanks for sharing that story, I would go into Central and wait for the Canberra express to come in and then catch a ride in the cab as the engines went back light to DELEC, spend the day there then walk home to Hurstville. Times are much different today hey. The bicentennial colours did look great. Thanks for watching
Spot the locations? I picked Enfield Yard, DELEC, Clyde, North Strathfield, Belmore (Enfield South) and possibly Cooks River plus Broadmeadow loco with the 81 class? The "G" looked good in the original VLine orange and grey, great video Barrie, thanks.
Hi Dave, you are right on all locations, as well as my usual haunts of Central, Hurstville, Penshurst, Mortdale & Oatley (all the spots I can get to quickly so I don't get in trouble at home 😉). I prefer the G class in those original colours, you can't go wrong with Orange and grey, maybe Sydney trains copied Vic rail. Thanks for watching
@@trainspottingwithbarrie Thank you Barrie, didn't mention the obvious spots like Central etc. As an aside...the "G" class first Victorian locos not delivered new in the blue and gold VR livery...
