Great review! I bought one of the very first Mk8 GTI’s in late 2020, Kings Red, Harmon Kardon, DCC & 19’s. Not without a few software issues at first however, so the fact that I still love the car as much as I do says a lot.
The infotainment isnt bad at all. I own a 2023 Golf GTI and have had it for around 7k KM. Once you get used to it, its actually pretty easy and quick to use. Also the "problem" with accidentally turning on the steering wheel warmer is not true at all. I am a bigger dude with bigger hands and I never accidentally turned it on. The car also sounds a lot better in person.
The climate control is accessed through a separate "haptic" button, which makes it easy to access and literally takes seconds to change air settings. IMO, it's not too distracting and I think they've set it up for good usability
ha ha... dude all my GTI's have been 2 doors... I'm still driving my 2015 MK7 GTI SE because I refuse to get a 4 door. I'll jump right from a GTI to a GT3 once crypto takes off again.
@@ProductReviewCarsthe ones complaing about the UI and AC controls have never driven one. I went into the test drive anticipating it being a deal breaker. After the test drive, I concluded the keyboard warriors over reacted and I traded my Audi RS5 for one. 30k US and 5k miles. Not bad at all.
In Indonesia this car is 80000USD. Or 110000 AUD. Without panoramic roof. Be grateful for what you have. Firstly, a non-corrupt (or not so corrupt) government.
One of the most boring cars ever built 😄 visually the cupra Leon and Audi S3 have way more to offer. The i30n has more emotion, the A35 has better built quality and interior design…
Gotta step in the Golf GTI’a defence. It makes for a great daily driver compared to the i30N, it’s a lot less expensive than a A35 and Audi S3. And personally I prefer the looks over the Cupra.
