I agree 100% that this is one of the best laptops of all time, including now. I bought a 16" M2 Max and gave the M1 Air to my wife. But my laptop right now is so heavy, clunky and blocky. Now I look over at my wife's laptop and I'm seriously missing it.
Yea, that's the really cool thing now. Last years model with great upgrades that are like 60% of the prices of new base models in some cases. I have an M2 Max 32 and it's so rocking still. I was editing a 4K travel video and playing "No Man's Sky" as it exported a few mins ago. Pretty wild. @@mralxndr2846
What if you will go with m3 15” top configuration. That’s what I did . Mac book air 15 and 24 ram 1 ssd . Light amazing screen (big) everything works great
I picked up a used M1 MacBook Air and it is a beautiful machine. M1 is all most people need for everyday use, but still has enough power for occasional photo and video editing. Love the classic design and light weight.
I got the M1 MacBook Air for my masters program in mid 2021 ( I had a mid 2012 MacBook Pro that took a dive😅), and even till this day. The laptop runs like it’s brand new, it’s easily the best laptop I’ve ever purchased.
it should be noted that you can use your iPhones rear camera for conferences etc, on the m1 MacBooks. If the 720 camera isn't enough for you. Combine that with the AirPods for sound and mic. It's better than most PC laptops.
I'm currently using a MacBook air 2015 model. It still works a treat! I am growing a web developer business though and looking at upgrading to this Mac.
I bought me a MacBook Air 2018 from someone who had gotten a newer one for Christmas, I absolutely loved it... I accidentally broke the screen and had to get it replaced and while it was gone I had gotten MacBook Air M1 from rent a center so I had something in the mean time, and I fell in love with it, I love love love the keyboard so much better then my 2018 model.. and even know the M1 is smaller then the 2018 one I got I like it so much more.. I ended up not taking the M1 back after I got mine back bc for some reason I couldn't go back to the slick keyboard... I absolutely love love love my MacBook Air M1.. Needless to say I was sold on the MBA M1 and gave my daughter the other MacBook which is still an amazing MBA, I just fell head over heads for this keyboard and sleek design...
I bought mine at best buy for $645. It was an open box and look like the box was just opened and then they changed their mind. Battery was still at 100% with everything still fresh. I did add apple care and geek squad for 175 which is extra but smart buying something like this. I also have a 2019 macbook pro i9 32 gb 512 macbook and a 27inch IMac. The M1 is a beast and great to type and carry around
i agree 100% i decided to buy a used M1 MBA 16/256 instead of a new M3 MBA, if i need more computing power than i definitively need an MBP M3 Pro or M3 Max device. The wedged design is more attractive to me, would i get a succesor probably (as my daughter demanded for the MBA M1) but only if there will be a M4 or M5 variant in a wedged design (what i highly doubt), so perhaps if i find an MBA M1 with a slightly bigger storage perhaps the next used one. you have always to remember you get the used one at at least half of the price of the successors (brandnew), they usually have no noticeable wear&tear, and low battery cycles, and if a battery is worn out ifixit will help you at compared to Apple reasonable prices.
I've been using the 2020 MB air intel, And I need more power now, after watching this vid, I decided to jump to the M1 and see, then to the M2 maybe lol.
I got m2 AIR on sale for 800$ I use windows but needed a Macintosh to get my setup complete loving it so far this thing glides through day to day task and battery is insane on these airs.
Touch screens are 100% a gimmick on windows devices. They are not intuitive are relaxing to use. It's more of a novelty. Microsoft has never been able to figure out how to make touch screens a necessity and feel natural and comfortable to use.
I currently have a surface laptop go (1st gen) and it runs mostly fine, have noticed a bit of a slow down and the battery life is horrible. Thinking of trading it in for a rose gold m1 being sold at a pawn shop near me.
‘Can’t help choosing the lighter and thinner M2 MacBook Air a year back. I’m in my mid-70s but if I’d be in your age now I’d choose the MacBook Pro series. Used or new.
I had the 15 inch MacBook Air for 5-6 months now and I’ve been loving it ! 24gb RAM with 256 ssd with 200gb of iCloud+ storage to save SSD storage from the MacBook
After many years I bought a new Mac and it is a MacBook Air 15" with 24GB RAM and 1TB SSD, which is overkill. Reason is that I could buy it for the price I should have paid for the 15" with 16GB/256. My previous was an Intel MacBook Pro from mid 2012, and is still running fine with his 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD and running the latest OS. But what a difference with this new one! Fantastic screen and a huge battery life, and no fans. I guess I will keep this one for many years. Me happy! :-)
