I worked with Bob for 10 years when I was at Capitol, it is karma learning this song. After a 59 layoff, I’m trying to play again. I love Bob and if this is finally my breakthrough, This should be it Thank you Amber
Hi George, that is quite an amazing story! Must have been amazing working with Bob Seger. I have another one of his song lessons dropping tomorrow, hope you check it out. 🎵 you can do it!! Just make sure you are having fun 🙏🙌
Listening to Bob Seger while washing the dishes. Walked around the house for a bit, humming this tune till I walked by my guitar, and wammo, watching your excellent lesson and jamming along with Bob. 🙂👌
Hi James! 😊I loved reading your story of how you went from listening to playing Still The Same 🤗 woo hoo! 🎉 I’m so glad I was part of your success in learning this amazing song!
Great format. I was interested in finding a tutorial for this great Bob Segar Ballard. Going through the way you did with a full run at the end really shows me this is a valuable lesson. A new fan.
Thank you for your kind message! Really appreciate your support and for sharing that you enjoyed the play along at the end- I love doing the play along! 😁🎶🎸
Thank You ! I am a somewhat new solo player. Difficult chords and singing are tough to put together. Love Bog Seger songs. Now I have three. This one .. Turn the Page and Main Street. But he had sooo many hits. Like We’ve Got Tonight ,Night Moves and the list goes on. Turn the page is my favorite on acoustic and easy to play.
Amber I have only been playing for a few months and used this tutorial to learn this amazing song. Thanks so much if you want to see your work in action I made a short of myself playing this song! Thanks again!
Wooo hooo!!! I checked it out and all I can say is WOWZERS! 😱👏🏻⭐️🎵 can’t imagine how much you will have improved in another couple of months time- well done
Hey young lady, I'm quitting smoking cigarettes, I've been doing it all my life, praise God today I have 4 days without smoking, God bless you young lady
I absolutely LOVE Taylor guitars. I have a beautiful Taylor 214CE deluxe. And then I went ahead and bought my Taylor GS mini mahogany. Both are great and the sound is just perfect 😍
Thanks for a lovely lesson. I was mindlessly noodling the embellished C chord used in Radioheads 'Street Spirit (Fade out)" , and suddenly was playing the riff from a song in my childhood, I just had to find the rest of it! Still the Same is such a great song. It just seems to fall out of the guitar... (Subbed! ❤)
Hello 👋🏻 🎶 welcome to the stellar community! I love how your noodling lead you to my tutorial! That’s so awesome 😎 this is one of my dad’s favourite songs and a request from him so I just had to teach it! 🎶🙌 By the way, my awesome guitar course is open for enrolment if you are interested in checking it out 😃 doors close this Friday! Here’s the link thestellarguitarist.com/thestellaracademy
That was great Keep up the good work. I’m knocking off the dust on my guitar this morning after not playing for a while. It would be great if you would do a lesson on. If you could read my mind by Gordon Lightfoot Thank you!
Hi Ed 😊 thank you, awesome comment to receive! I’m so chuffed that you picked up your guitar after not playing for a while. You know, I have been receiving tons of Gordon Lightfoot requests! Thanks for putting your song request forward, I’ll add it to the list 🎶
I recently learned Wreck of The Edmund Fitzgerald. I found it to be an easy chord progression even as a beginer. I would love to see Ambers take on strumming technique for this particular tune. Sundown is one I would love to learn also .
Hi Amber, also would you put down on the list too Lady Gaga’s songs like Shallow, Always remember us this way, is that alright, I’ll never love again, Million Reasons, make sure you have everything the same way as Lady Gaga like same chords, same strumming patterns and same fingerpicking patterns too, Also please find out how many times do we strum/fingerpicked each chords for all sections of the songs. also you can put down Lewis Capaldi songs Before you go, Forever also make sure you have everything the same way as Lewis Capaldi like same chords, same strumming patterns and same fingerpicking patterns too also please find out how many times do we strum/fingerpicked each chords for all sections of the songs.
"" make sure "" ? Lol We simply appreciate what this series offers for beginners ... the instruction to play songs , that are suitable for Beginner guitarists . Similarily, finger picking is a more advanced technique. Maybe Amber will do a series of songs for slightly more advanced guitarists . 👍
Absolutely. My channel is aimed at beginners and this is the audience I enjoy teaching the most 🌟 but who knows, maybe I will do a more advanced guitar series … 🤩
I just can't believe I'm going to learn this song now. Your playing, teaching, singing and choice of songs is driving me back to the acoustic. You're my new star. 🎉
There's only one picture in my mind! Me with my guitar, sitting on my bike and a sunset for a backround, playing this song, dedicated to myself! Thank you very much again Amber!
So awesome what a great song can’t stop watching oyour over the top teacher already playing this song can’t say enough good but if you’re new at playing guitar you got to check this lady out she is over the top thank you so very much!!!!!!!😊
What about the other part? Where they transition from the main chords to the secondary chords? Listen to the song and you'll hear the part I'm talking about. Its like a buildup back to the main chords. They also do it at the end of the song right before it ends. You're a great teacher btw!
Thanks for pointing that out, when I teach a lesson on RU-vid, I really try to stick to the basics - what do you need to play the song and sound good, feel good about yourself and maybe show it to a friend or family member. I think I kept this lesson quite stripped down to the basics, despite some chordal variations taking place in the song. I'm sure there are other teachers on RU-vid who maybe go into the secondary chords ☺️ Thanks for watching and the compliment about being a great teacher - appreciate it! 🙏🏽
@@thestellarguitarist Gotcha! I totally understand that. I was just curious. I thought maybe you overlooked that part. I just so happen to play by ear too so I can figure it out. Thanks for replying back to me and keep doing what you do! You're amazing!
Oh! I do like a little tuck of the pinky I guess 😄 I’ve had years of classical guitar lessons with professors at a very high level of playing and it has never been pointed out to me as a bad thing. I think that every hand movement is unique, as long as the music sounds good 🙌🎵
Okay, Im self taught, uneducated guitarist, been playing a long time, I cant do that pinky tuck! 😂 I think did a great job if breaking this song down!😊
Hi Amber!... I've been looking for someone that can teach the guitar to me, (probably not a good student) but you are A "STELLAR" TEACHER! the way you present the lessons, from the strength and muscle memory lesson to your song tutorials... I thank you very much for being out there for everyone who is wanting to play but just get ran over by too much talking and randomness through out other lessons on you tube. YOU ARE A TREASURE! Keep em' coming! 🤟✌️
Wow, thanks so much David! Your message has made my day 😃🙏 it means a lot to me that you took the time to write such a kind message. I have so much more in store! Thank you again and I hope to see you catching the next lesson! 👀🎸⭐️
Brilliantly simple and well instructed. I needed to practice my strum technique and my rhythm. I love finding songs that are engaging and simply beautiful. You are a gift and your voice is amazing. From Vancouver WA.
That’s so awesome, welcome and I’m so happy that you are here to become a stellar guitarist! 🤗 i currently don’t have patreon (it’s in the pipeline though) but I thought I’d also let you know that my awesome guitar program is available right now- doors close on Friday! Check it out here thestellarguitarist.com/thestellaracademy
Fantastic lesson. Every aspect of the video is great. Play Along is great and so pumped to have learned this great song. I’d go on, but Bob Seger says it best “you’re so damn good”. Thanks!!!
@@thestellarguitarist I came to your video because I was looking for something about Bob Seger. I watched the video and have to say the following: you know there are so many guitar teachers out there. Many of these "teachers" make me shudder when I see how they teach their students. You do it differently! You teach the songs very clearly. You use the right language, the right tempo and the right repetitions and hints to lead the student to success. Please keep up the good work! I will recommend you.
