I don't remember the last time I saw the developers being honest with the community for a game, they aren't saying "It's almost ready!", there is still lots of work to do but they want us to know what's going on and I just love that

I'm loving this frank and honest inside look at game dev. It actually feels like skaters and devs are working on a game and saying "yeah, we're as excited as you are, but lets' just get it right- so that takes time."

The fact that they made a “council” of all the prominent members of the skate community to consult during development says everything you need to know. Video games just hit differently when you can tell they were made with love

This is how you show a game that is still in development, seriously this has to be one of the most honest trailers for a game I have ever seen in my 29 years of playing games.... seriously

this is literally the best trailer? teaser? I've ever seen, something that actually shows where the game is at and where it's heading. Thanks for the hard work.

now this feels like a game being developed with love! the honesty and confidence they're showing by telling us "it's not ready- but you can come and check it out yourself!" says a lot about the team and their passion behind this

Dude..the ending where it has the graphics.. it honestly looks fucking perfect already, the pushing, landing, the slips, the hair, clothes etc.. the game I'm the MOST excited for in a while!

Honestly, this is the kind of video I wanna see from devs. "It's gonna take a while, but here's what we got so far. It'll be done when it's done." Take all the time you need, we'll still be here. We don't need any more NMS/Cyberpunk/BF2042 launches.

Take however long you need. This game is gonna be the masterpiece I’ve been waiting for.

The integrity of this trailer is so genuine that this could be one of the best reveals in gaming history. Can’t wait until this game comes out.

I almost never “like” videos, especially just game trailers. But showing off unfiltered game development in a trailer like this is an awesome precedent, and I hope other games follow suit. Well done.

Me and my cousin played skate 3 for years, this trailer almost brought a tear to my eye literally, I can feel the nostalgia seeping from it and can see they did stick to what worked.

I really love the honesty, gameplay, communication, and most importantly actually listening to their fans. New up and coming games should really pay attention to this, this is how you market a game.

I'm getting a bit sick of every game being a "service". I miss buying a game and having access to everything forever.

I really hope you guys don't rush this amazing game! Please take your time with it and make it how you want to make it. We've waited a really long time and just knowing that its coming back is enough for me so I feel like we could wait a little longer!

This is the result of developers treating their fanbases like actual fans and not just customers. This is so refreshing to see. And just a personal note to the developers, you have no idea how good it feels to be heard.

I love the confidence these guys have in this game, they even showed “pre-pre-pre alpha” gameplay, most developers would wait until they have something impressive. Skate already has something impressive to start with.

This is probably the biggest news I've heard in 10 years and it's the only game I've been anticipating... I'm sure the final product will be amazing but please, don't let EA ruin it with micro-transactions!

Character models and physics look so good, guys, great work. Love that (from what i can see) it’s still grounded in realistic, techy street spots, and hasn’t completely sold out on the ridiculous “big air” obstacles and parks.

Im just hearing about this, so I just finished watching this video. Skate. Take your time, this is by far the best news ive heard in a long time. And the devs, keep up the great work. The pure nostalgia in this video. The fact you were so honest and just giving an update to the fans. There was a point in time where noone thought a new Skate was coming out. But now we know, youre just trying to make it perfect for us die-hard fans and listening to us to help shape the game. Every game needs to take this approach especially for a game "series" Then fans are the ones who will be playing and of course new players will emerge and become fans also! Not going to lie this video gave me the same exact nostalgia and feelings that the video, Steve from Blue's Clues update video gave me. Which tells me, you guys are putting sooooo much effort and time into this. It will probably be one of the most well rounded built games in a long long time. and have what the fans have been asking for! Props to you guys. I CAN/WE CAN wait to hear more because we want you to take your time and do this right as well as yourselves. Im genuinely happy for this. Thank you

My child hood is coming back. I remember the days when i would come home from 3rd grade booting up my ps3 and just playing for hours up on hours on end and now going into my high school years i get this announcement. Time flies damn

The “parkour” off board movement looks really cool but I wonder how in depth that will be. saw some lache’s and a climb up both looked pretty good.

I'm glad this series is coming back. It was always a brain shut off game for me and my friends where we could just chill out with each other

Skate is the entire reason why I begged my parents for an Xbox 360 (I was like 10). They got it, I fell in love with it. Each new game was better than the one before. Skate 3 being a near perfect skateboard game imo. I don't care if Skate . takes a couple more years. I fear they try to do too much and make all these ancillary features that take away from the true purpose of the game. I'll take a map that is 2 times the size of the previous before running on walls & doing parkour. No matter what happens I will buy the game and always have the highest praise for the EA Skate franchise. Keep working hard!

I had a HUGE smile on my face because I know though it’s clearly in development mode it’s REALLY happening and that hits home the most. The hardflip down the stair set toward the end looked SO good. I’m so excited to see the potential of this and thank you for being transparent and clear about what’s going on. This means WAY too much to me, but still thank you thank you thank you.

This trailer actually made me start crying tears of joy! It feels like someone is actually listening to me as soon as I heard “san vansterdam” I got crazy goose bumps especially seeing the Community center in the play test omg I hope this is just a massive skate2 expansion like hint and throwbacks but also new environments. Beyond excited for this.

This is the most honest early footage of a game I have *ever* seen. Not pretending that it's amazingly shaded and "almost done" but showing us the _real_ polygons and animations that they currently have. This gives me _very_ high hopes.

I stopped skating back in 2015 due to injuries and life in general, but I will never forget the feeling I had skateboarding. This brings it all back... the Skate series was my favorite growing up. I still have all 3 for my ps3... take all the time you need.. I'd buy it now if I could.. keep on keeping on..

even though it’s SUPER early in development, this game looks insane! both of the walking and skating animations are so smooth and realistic and the graphics on what the final product should look like looks amazing and detailed to the smallest touch. Skate 3 was my game when I was 10 years old and that 10 year old little boy in me came back as i watched this. keep taking as much time as you need, skate.

These devs are really awesome and transparent. I was a little late signing up but I’ve been a skate junkie since the first one. One thing I’d really like to see is more detail with the feet on the board. When I go to setup for a trick I always dig my feet in just a little bit before I pop it. Also when I catch my kick flips and other flip tricks the board always has subtle movements when I catch it. I think it could be a good touch to add. What I’ve seen looks absolutely amazing though guys. The physics look to be on track and I’m Super Excited for what’s to come! I’ll be playing skate 3 and checking my emails in hopes to play this new skate! Lol

I don't think I've laughed so hard at a game trailer before, everyone parkouring.. i lost it at the end where everyone throws their boards down to skate and out of no where a random dude just somersaults into the horizon 🤣

I love how in the end some guy falls from the building and proceeds to roll on the floor like nothing happened 🤣

Take all the time you need... so many recent game released waay too early and were filled with so many bugs. I've always wanted to play a skate game but never had a console to play it. If this is going to be on pc im so totally going to buy it the first sign its available. Very excited to see this franchise again :)
