I just installed a short ram air intake system on my 2014 Q50 3.7 and my God the low and mid range acceleration greatly improved!

What’s the difference between this intake and the regular z1 intake just the length?

Yeah. Other than length and diameter, most intakes all serve the same purpose and get you almost exactly the same results.
