Stills & Collins - Houses (Lyric Video) 

This slightly upbeat take on this song (one of Ms. Collins' best from her orchestrated Baroque period) makes the work contemporary yet again. The undercurrent of Mr. Stills guitar work infuses the work with new life. Collins can still hit the (for others) impossibly high notes, but she parcels them here for a surprising, quite dramatic effect. Houses is one of her very best compositions, and with the input of Steven Stills, it becomes a gloriously new song.

This is awesome especially since she wrote this song about Stephen Stills.

So touching, because she wrote it for him a few years after they broke up, and he was going through all his rock star stuff. They should have made more music together - they play each other's songs very well, and have certainly been wonderful muses for each other!

Collins, a music legend. This was one of the greatest songs she ever wrote, also Secret Gardens, Since You've Asked, and the greatest, Albatross. You are so loved by so many, Judy.

Beautiful voice but the lyric says nothing to me---as I imagine is true for most people who hear it. Not as directly as say Suite Judy Blue Eyes....very poetic but so universally relatable.

Love this song but do not like this arrangement. Too “country” for me.
