For my folks with no stim toys, or who's school banned them, I'd recommend bending a paperclip into the shape below. You can put your fingers in the corners and spin it. It's really fun. ----------- | | | | | ---------
Cool stuff! I recently recognized stimming as a way to cope with anxiety, and my personal favorites are sands/clays, erasers (I chew them), weighted sparkly animals, and actually advertised fidgets too!
Fluffiefishshsh Flufferton yeah! stimming is great for anyone with the need to do so. I also recently got a weighted blanket, which helps a ton with sensory issues
Fluffiefishshsh Flufferton I also enjoy chewing, I find then those small rubber bands used for rainbow looms work good and are decreat for work or school!
You have a very interesting collection. I especially liked the marble, lizard finger puppet, Nuby baby toy, and the crocheted pig. When I was little, I often chewed on the TV remote (the part where the buttons are). Now I use a baby teether with water, but I`m always afraid that it will break. I also have a few squishies, 2 tangles and a Pop It (this is kind of a trend now, unfortunately). Bubble wrap packaging is nice too. And I also collect caps from shampoos, shower gels, etc. I like to click them.
I have anxiety i have my own copes but they hurt me picking skin on fingers, nails, head, etc and i use tangles and squishes to help cope by not hurting myself
Why is it undiagnosed do your parents not believe you or just haven’t gone to the pediatrician yet I recently got diagnosed it took 3 years tho cause I didn’t know how to tell my mom 😅 but then she understood why I was the way I was and I got prescribed meds for my adhd and I’m still in the process of getting the right meds the ones I’m taking right now aren’t really doing anything but on the 9th I’m going to see if I’ll get prescribed the right ones:)and there goes my adhd over explaining myself 😂
that's very good, they are Very Important. also i can't believe i never thought of using the phrase "good touch" to describe things but im definitely gonna start using that now it's v v good
jason mccauley wanna rub my head on my dog, on my couch, on my fridge. never want hair ever again. This is wonderful. Prime good touch. The exact opposite of old rough metal that scrapes when you touch it
I watch this video literally almost every day lol it’s my favorite stim toy collection video because I love all the things u stim with and I honestly think u sound like the sweetest person ever. I wanna be friends fr lol. My names Alex btw. Hai 👋. But I have a lot of mental illnesses and sensory issues so I find that stim toys help me ALOT. I have a few favorites of my own like my chewy dinosaur and my little bean bag pikachu plush. But I also wanna say I love that u named ur dinos. Brumpo and blumpo are cool dudes. I support dem. But anyways I hope u have a good day and keep on stimming ^3^ 💚🤙 I might go to michaels today to see if I can find some stim toys :3
Thank you so much! This comment made me very happy to read. My name is Asher, I have autism. I will do an updated collection video soon, the collection has changed a whole lot
I have a deck of playing cards too. i started carrying them to school because my friends would play card games during lunch but then i found out that i just like shuffleing them sometimes so I'll carry the deck with me occasionally. its not one of the main things I stim with but it's still nice every once and a while
I love how all yours that resemble animals have names. Some of my favorite things to fidget with are Japanese animal erasers and they all have names and personalities. Also seeing you stim with that comb made me remember I had one I stimmed with as a kid before I even knew what stimming was. It was bright red. I might have to get a new one.
I've been diagnosed with DMDD, but I do know that since i was in 2nd grade I've pulled the skin off my fingers and bit myself till i bled. I should probably get some better chewtoys, mine were marketed for "aggressive chewers" which i assumed i was because of the state of my thumbs, but apparently not.
user not found ya, I feel. I always choose the "aggressive" ones because of how often and how much I bite through things like fabric and skin, but also because I really like the feeling of biting through silicone. I choose the hardest ones so I don't do that and ruin the toy in 30 minutes of having it
I have like a total of one one stim toy Bc my parents are assholes and don’t believe in stimming or like anything. And it’s a fisher cube and it doesn’t satisfy my chewing or squishing needs. I also love dinosaurs and reptiles and prehistoric things. I love science in general but mainly medical science and like biology etc.
I alteady commented but i come back to this video a lot since its soothing, anyway, do you have more toys you could show? Like an updated version? I have trichotillamania so i wanna find toys to keep my hands busy n stuff
I love your collection! I especially love all their names, I need to start naming my toys again... Also, we share a special interest! I have an ammonite just like that and lots of little Dino toys. Where did you get the soft tangle?
I just love this video so much! Do you still use most of them or have you replaced some? I am very interested in getting some but don't even know we're to begin, it would be mostly for controlling anxiety and panic attacks. Maybe you could do an updated version of this video? I think your voice would be amazing in asmr btw! ☺️
I should make an updated version, many have broken or been phased out, replaced by ones more appropriate for where I am in life. Many are also daily living aids, such as plastic plates instead of ceramic. Now that I can purchase my own things. Fidgets and sensory input objects can be very helpful during panic attacks, especially ones that require a sequence of actions, rather than purely repetitive ones. I would suggest a color puzzle ball. It has been crucial during meltdowns. As it provides a distraction and a very pleasant input. In regards to my voice, I am very very flattered. A few comments have suggested I do more of this. It is particularly valuable because i have always been very self conscious of my voice and speaking. In writing, I can be very descriptive and eloquent. In speech, I feel clumsy. Thank you very much, I appreciate it. I will take this suggestion "to heart".
@@cattlecastle Oooh please make an updated version! We need more stim object videos in the community that aren't just pop-its and etc. I love your collection and tastes because you aren't afraid to come out with unconventional things like a chair leg.
@@CorVids1031 ya know what, I'm gonna. It's been so long, the collection has changed in many ways. My chair leg is no longer, as it became my dogs favorite stim toy
I didn't realize that others like to smell things that smell good! I love fidgeting with things as well as smells they just make me a little calmer (I have ADHD and anxiety)
my grandma had that exact nuby toy, and i likes the blue spike texture so ch i sotle it and cut it just to get the one rubber bead. i added it to one of my fidget keychain sets.
That particular chewing necklace is from Stimtastic.co, they have that particular mushroom, and a majority of other chewy design necklaces and bracelets (as well as other stim toys)!!!!! I ordered three chewy necklaces, I'm so excited for them to come in!!!!! ♡♡♡♡♡
This is really awesome I have autism don't really have things like this I don't quite know how to deal with my anxiety n stuff well I have my staffy she helps I love her soft ears or her nose lol if I'm at home and things get too much I usually go sit in the kitchen or bathroom for hours it's quite in there my I really like anything soft or squishy my beds full with fuzzy bears n little squishy things for when I have a bad day thank you for sharing this I might invest in something like this to help :)
dream meme I do have a tendency to collect things usually things I can hold onto that's fuzzy or squishy even cute I love crystals so I have tons of them my best friend is also on the autism spectrum she likes anything that shines so we trade a lot of stuff , I often have difficulty with my anxiety when out and about because I don't have anything to help with it really what would you suggest is the best thing for that ?
Can someone plz answer. Is it weird to use a pacifier as a stim? At home I use one because I like to chew and chuck on a lot of things but I can't get a chewable stim.but yh
Kai Hart I've heard of other people doing that. I don't consider it weird, but I don't know what others think. It's a self stimulation action, and that's it. But some might not think of it that way
I like chewing things as a way to stim and all i have are straws to chew on but im fine Edit:dont try this. If you chew it on the side it will cut your mouth Edit again: i now chew and suck on my baby rags that i call lovys. I have a pink one that is really old and i used to suck on her but i cant anymore. I chew on stuff cuz i have really bad anxiety.
most from picking up fun little things from local gift shops, and some from Amazon! The chew is from stimstastic, and I would highly recommend them. I will do an overview of chews in the future
Lina Garcia if I do a giveaway a winner will be chosen by chance, and all people will have an equal opportunity to win. Thank you for watching, but I can't use any bias if i give something away
@@cattlecastle I don’t think they meant any harm I feel liked you could have been nicer I enjoyed the video but as a creator respect your audience it can really hurt
@@trustinsaaya hey! No! This is a blatantly disrespectful comment and I am responding to it as such, relevant to the topic. Comments like that are written to mock and question the content. Also, this is my video. Im not a creator, I don't have an audience. I was 16 in this video. Im not "disrespecting my audience" by saying not to mock a teenager for a video centered around a feature of their autism. In conclusion, it was meant to be harmful and im not gonna respect that. Im not a creator. Im going to respond to things on a personal level because it is personal.
John Keys a fair amount actually! One helped me buy my wheelchair. I live with opal, she's pretty sweet. Biggest lesbian I've ever met. What makes you want to say stuff like that?
Olivia Srdinko thank you for sticking up 4 me! It's true, I do a have a fair amount of friends. I'm often described as cuddly and naive, but impressively friendly. Probs cuz I don't know when people are being rude
